The biggest match of the weekend see’s two giants clash in Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs. Windies 11/5 To Bounce Back in 2nd ODI

India vs West Indies, 2nd ODI, Friday 2nd December, 11:00

In an absolute nail-biter at Cuttack on Tuesday, India managed to prevail in order to take a 1-0 lead in the five match one-day series against the West Indies. Admittedly, India is a team much weakened and was not able to field a full-strength team against the West Indies. Fitness has been a problem for the Indian one-day setup for a while now, and one must speculate over the amount of cricket they play over there, and the conditioning of their players. Nevertheless, the West Indies gave the Indians more than a run for their money on Tuesday, and will take many positives from the match.

English Premier League Preview

Last night bled into today and if I am truly honest to you, which I almost always tend to be, my mind may not be in the sharpest state. But fear not, reading this is no act of futility. I won’t traipse off and find myself a hammock or something of the like to put myself into a deep sleep, bordering on a coma. I have been prepared for this eventuality; this day was coming, and if I’m truly honest, has passed. This time however, I am in a position to give you one enthralling, informative and refreshingly honest English Premier League Preview. Hot Damn.

Inter 11/10 to make Udinese earn their stripes

Inter Milan vs Udinese, Saturday 3rd December, 21:45, San Siro

The Italian Serie A is starting to take shape, with a lot of the so called smaller teams proving their worth and contesting with the big guns at the top of the table. This campaign looks very balanced as the big guns of the league find it difficult to dispatch their opponents and often are surprised by the quality of the smaller clubs. Both teams enter the match of the back of wins over the weekend, and it's all set up to be an intriguing affair.

New Zealand 22/10 to Get the Jump On the Aussies

Australia vs New Zealand, 1st Test Match, 1 - 5 December, Gabba, 01:30

Thursday sees the beginning of yet another Trans-Tasman blood-fest. A sporting rivalry deeply ingrained between two nations, forced to share the same part of the globe. It is no secret that there is no love lost between these two sides, the cricket pitch being no exception. The balance swings strongly in favour of the Australians, who have had the lion’s share of test match glory, besides for a brief stint in the mid-80s. New Zealand haven’t won a test in Australia since 1993. Clearly history has not been kind to the Black Caps. However, past is past and if one is to delve deeper, the plot thickens. This time around Australia are injury-ridden and New Zealand are looking better than they have in years. Could this be an occasion where the big brother bows to the underdog?

Woods 3/1 at Chevron World Challenge

Chevron World Challenge, 01 December- 04 December, California

The Chevron World Challenge tees off this weekend at Sherwood Country Club, California. Established as a charity fundraiser in 1999 there is a decent amount of prize money on offer with the winner taking home a cool $ 1.2 million whilst last still gets his hands on $140 000. When Woods wins, which he has often, all his money goes to one of the charities with which he is associated but I can’t see any massive donations being sent their way this year. Despite solid performances in Australia and the Presidents Cup I’m not keen on Tiger taking a win yet so the question is where in the 20 man field to look? Let’s try find out.

Nedbank Golf Challenge

Nedbank Golf Challenge, 01 December- 04 December, Sun City

Thursday will see the much anticipated Nedbank Golf Challenge tee off at the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City. The exclusive field of 12 includes three of the world’s top five players and all will be competing for a chance to join the impressive list of previous winners. Of note is the fact that Thomas Bjorn has pulled out and will be replaced by the Italian Francesco Molinari. In small fields there’s often value to be found as this time around is no different. Let’s try find it.
