As we enter the last of the West Indies tour matches in Chennai on Sunday, the Windies have little else other than pride left to play for after a torrid tour of India. After salvaging a draw to avoid being white-washed in the test series, they have only managed to pick up a solitary victory in the one-day series. This leaves West Indies 3-1 down with one to play, and an arduous task ahead of them if they are to claim another victory. Winning a series in India has never been an easy task and probably was not expected of a West Indies team that has not seriously competed at international level in quite a few years now. English Premier League Preview
I don’t quite know where to begin. It’s a strange situation to find
yourself in, and in all honesty its a bit disconcerting. I could speak
about the number of diabolical refereeing decisions we saw last week,
but I fear I might inflict grievous bodily harm on my computer.
Alternately I could speak about the Champions League, but I fear I may
have the same punishment inflicted on me from some angry yobbish Manc. I
for one couldn’t be happier that Fergie and the boys will slug it out
with Man City for the right to call themselves Europa League Champions.
Enough about that, lets get into the Premier League.Madrid 13/10 out for Barca's Blood
Real Madrid vs Barcelona, Saturday 10th December, 21:00, Santiago Bernabeu
The time has come; it’s the fixture the football world has been waiting for since the start of the 2011/12 Spanish La Liga season. Real Madrid host Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu this Saturday night in the most important La Liga match of the season so far, it’s the El Clasico! The Spanish Super Cup in the beginning of the season (2-2 and 3-2 to Barcelona over two legs) may have provided a fiery and freescoring match in typical Clasico fashion between Madrid and Barca (and a bit of eye gouging, too), but the league clashes are what matter most and this Saturday provides the first head-to-head of the campaign between the two Spanish giants.

Bidvest Wits vs Orlando Pirates, Saturday 10th December, 20:15, Moses Mabhida
This Saturday will see Bidvest Wits face Orlando Pirates in the Telkom Knockout Final that will be held at the majestic Moses Mabhida Stadium. This was the same venue that Pirates conquered the home side Golden Arrows just two weeks ago. Wits have hit a sensational run of form over all competitions, and are one of the few teams that could just have Pirates' number here. A cracker is expected this Saturday, so lets see who will lift their first ever Telkom Knockout Cup title.

Australia vs New Zealand, 2nd Test, 9th - 13th Dec, 01:00, Hobart
This time last week New Zealand had reason to fancy their chances against an Australian line-up devoid of test stars and chock-full of debutants finding their feet in the test arena. One week later, after being used and discarded in much the same way as the sheep found Down Under, New Zealand will need to stage a tremendous turnaround if they are to compete in Hobart on Friday. The odds are firmly stacked against the Black Caps after their torrid showing at the Gabba, exposing obvious weaknesses in temperament.

Westwood to Win The Race to Dubai
Dubai World Championship, 08 December - 11 December, Dubai
The European tour comes to an end at the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf estates this weekend. Commonly known as the greatest show on earth this is where the top money earners on the European tour fight it out to finish number one in the Race to Dubai. Luke Donald currently holds top spot in the race and there is only one man who can beat him, Rory McIlroy. After an amazing display last weekend in Hong Kong McIlroy is ready to come out swinging here and if he does he will be richly rewarded. Can he handle the pressure? Let’s have a look.India 2/5 to Hit Back and Secure Series
Let’s be honest here, the West Indies are no longer a team that strikes fear into the hearts of opponents worldwide. Gone are the days of their 4-prong fast bowling wet dream, their swashbuckling Caribbean batsmen and their own brand of Calypso cricket. Therefore, as is the case in new cricketing eras, changes must be made. The Windies are beginning to realise that the make-up of their present team has a far more sub-continental feel to it, and by using these resources, were finally able to get one over their Indian counterparts on Monday.
