For years it has provided the ultimate build up to the Vodacom Durban July, and this year will be no different, as a record four Hollywood Durban July Preview Parties will be on the go around South Africa! The main party hosted at Hollywood Park in Springfield, Durban will go streaming to Hollywood's headlining branches in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, and Gauteng. A panel discussion, a card call, free snacks, drink specials, give-aways and prizes will in store on the night! It's the party of the year, entry is free, and everyone is invited. The 2012 Durban July Hollywood Panel
A brand new panel with a wealth of July experience between them will share their views on the 2012 Vodacom Durban July.
Heading the list is two-time July winning jockey and now turned trainer, GARTH PULLER. Garth was in the saddle for over thirty years and won the July in 1979 with Over The Air for Peter Kannemeyer and matched the feat with Bush Telegraph in 1987 (first WINNING FORM Published) for Bert Abercrombie. Garth runs his brother Glen's satellite yard at Clairwood and saddles three runners on Saturday's card. He is sure to give punters an insight as to their chances.
Next up is veteran jockey GLEN HATT whose best finish in the July was a third on Red Badge for trainer Stan Elley. Glen has had more luck with the J & B Met as he won that race twice with Bunter Barlow and River Jetez, both times for Mike Bass. He has won the Cape Jockey's Championship, as well as the Mauritian Jockey's Title on no fewer than three occasions. He rides the Gavin van Zyl trained son of Miesque's Approval, ETON SQUARE in this year's race. 
DARRYL MAREE is the final panelist. Darryl is Tellytrack's resident tipster and is best known for his tips on the Under Starters Orders show on Saturday mornings. Maree is an astute form studier and is the nephew of legendary jockey James Maree. He is renowned for finding great value in any contest and punters will be listening closely for their next dose of Maree 'magic'.
Our Master of Ceremonies for the evening is WARREN LENFERNA who has an obsession for the game. He has worked for Winning Form, was a former PRO for the Duncan Howells stable and nowadays works for the South Africa Jockeys Academy in Summerveld.
Our auctioneer for the Card Call is well-known Zimbabwean businessman and prominent racehorse owner, BRIAN MAKWABARARA. He is another that has horseracing running through his blood and was kind enough to offer some 5/2 on Igugu during last year's auction. Best be good to this man as he will ensure you get the best odds!
