The Final Field for the J&B Met, which takes place on the 28th of January at Kenilworth race course, is out! The final field was announced on the 16th of January, and naturally the undoubtedly talented Mike De Kock trained 2011 Durban July winner IGUGU tops the betting boards as short priced favorite at 13/10. The barrier draws were announced on Thursday the 19th of January, so the betting has been updated! We have also included some interesting facts about the J&B Met which you don't want to miss out on!

Weekend Sports Preview
The last weekend of January is already upon us, which means that 2012 has already got off to an absolute flyer. Anyone who’s anyone in golf is participating here and there is huge excitement to see who will come out on top as the world’s top 4 golfers tee up alongside the like of Tiger Woods. The course is a gruelling 7,500 yard test of power and putting and requires stamina and the ability to deal with seriously hot conditions. The winner will need to have the ability to handle fast Bermuda greens, hit long and handle the “Gulf Swing”.

The Farmers Insurance Open tees off on the Torrey Pines North and South courses this weekend and for the first time this year a strong field tee off in San Diego. The course requires a fair amount of experience and all recent winners have posted a top ten in one of the previous showings at the tournament. After looking at last year’s leaderboard it is clear that distance off the tee is a bonus but don’t look into that too much. The wet conditions played into the hands of the likes of Watson and Vegas but this year the forecast is clear and this should suit the shorter hitters.
