Manchester City vs Chelsea Preview

Manchester City v Chelsea, EPL, Wednesday 21st March, 21:45, Etihad Stadium

It’s amazing how fortunes can change in such a short space of time and this contest between Manchester City (third last season) and Chelsea (runners-up) re-iterates this point. Last season at around this time the Blues were challenging for the title whilst City were being made to work for a spot in Europe. The roles are completely reversed this time and it’s the men from Manchester (the so-called noisy neighbours) who are challenging their arch-rivals United for supremacy in England. Chelsea, on the other hand are in disarray with an interim manager appointed until the end of the season and are fifth on the log.

New Zealand vs South Africa, 2nd Test, 15 - 19 March, 23:30

Rain on the final day in Dunedin washed out the prospect of the Proteas topping the test rankings on this tour of New Zealand, a disappointing end to what had proved to be a fascinating test match. This game can be a cruel mistress. No matter how good a position the Proteas had placed themselves in, there was no way to control the weather.
