West Indies vs Australia 2nd Test Preview

West Indies vs. Australia, 2nd Test, Sunday 15th April, 16:00

If the first test in Bridgetown was not the perfect advert for test cricket, then there is surely no hope for the format. With the Frank Worrell trophy almost safe in its slumber in Australian hands, the West Indies now need victory in the final two tests to have any chance of wrestling it from Australia’s record-breaking clutches. A tussle in Trinidad awaits. Do the West Indies have what it takes to turn the tide?

English Premier League Preview

The Plot Thickens

Fergie’s going to need another shipment of gum, because this race ain’t over. In a performance so uncharacteristic of a Man United team chasing a title, the Red Devils somewhat capitulated on Wednesday night, giving their rivals a scent of weakness, that they will no doubt pounce on. Cruising toward a 20th title, Fergie’s men seemed to take their foot off the pedal for just a moment, and they were soundly punished. Wigan were deserved winners, playing like men possessed, they bossed the match from start to finish. It goes to show that old adage, that there are no easy games at this stage of the season, still rings true. With the FA Cup semi-finals also being played this weekend, there is a shortened fixture list, but I’m sure there’ll be no shortage of talking points.
