Winning Form Best Bets

Race 1: DAVYANA(3)
Race 3: VARISTAR(10)
Race 4: HAILI(8)
Race 5: LAKE BENJAMIN(2)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: PLAY OF LIGHT(7) - TOP BET
Jockey: Karl NEISIUS -Trainer: Mike BASS

PLAY OF LIGHT relished the extra and showed good improvement over this distance, second time out. She raced handy at Kenilworth that day and stayed on strongly for a close third. She has already had the benefit of having raced on this tricky track and could stake a serious claim from another handy draw today.

Race 3: TIGER MASTER(2)
Jockey: Gareth WRIGHT -Trainer: Paul REEVES

This is a moderate contest but TIGER MASTER has improved in recent starts and has the speed to handle this track. He tired late when fourth last time but ran on nicely for third in his penultimate outing. He is drawn in pole and could be very effective on this course.

Race 4: AMBER HEARD(4)
Jockey: Andrew FORTUNE -Trainer: Dolf MAEDER

AMBER HEARD has been thereabouts in recent starts and seems to enjoy seven furlongs. She only tired late over this trip last time and may be more effective on this course. She has a midfield draw, will again have the services of Andrew Fortune and has a bright chance here.

Race 5: DIPLOMATIC(1)
Jockey: Karl NEISIUS -Trainer: Dean KANNEMEYER

DIPLOMATIC no doubt needed his comeback run after a 47 week break last time and will strip much fitter today. He had promising juvenile form before suffering a setback but his trainer has given him enough time to recover and that should help his cause. He has by far the best credentials in this field and although he may need more runs to be at his best, he could still put this field away.

VALUE BET FOR TODAY:

Race 6: LADY KELPIE(12) (Each Way)
Jockey: Girish GOOMANY -Trainer: Eric SANDS

This is another very competitive fillies and mares handicap but LADY KELPIE could be nicely in at the weights, even though she takes on stronger and she can cause an upset here. The daughter of Greys Inn probably took on too much at level weights in feature company in her last two starts and is better treated in this handicap. She had shown some useful form prior to that and runs well for this 4kgs claiming apprentice. She is handily drawn which is a further plus.
