Jockey: Karl ZECHNER - Trainer: Tyrone ZACKEY

AUGUSTINUS is unbeaten in two outings on this surface but this will be his acid test as he races on unfavourable weight terms in a pinnacle stakes. Nevertheless, the Zackey inmate has been impressive in both those c & d wins and he could still be ahead of the handicapper on this track. His yard is in good form and he should be very competitive.

Jockey: Gavin LERENA - Trainer: Roy MAGNER

DAKIWE has shown promise in his last two outings and he has lots of room for further improvement. He produced a decent last run despite being drawn wide over this trip on the inside course at Turffontein That was the son of Kahal's first try around the turn and that experience will stand him in good stead. He is handily drawn today and can stake a serious claim, if he handles the surface. Interestin- gly, Gavin Lerena has opted for him as opposed to SUPER CLUB.

Jockey: Juan-Paul v.d.MERWE - Trainer: Mike DE KOCK

OLYMPIC BOLT has a short but extremely effective burst of speed and he is much better than his 2 post maiden runs suggest. He cruised to his maiden victory over nine furlongs, albeit in a weak field but has lots of scope for improvement and has been gelded since his latest outing. The Mike de Kock inmate races fresh after a ten week break and should be competitive in this line-up.

Race 8: BOLD FLASH(10)
Jockey: Kersley RAMSAMY - Trainer: Paul PETER

The DANIELLE c & d formline on 21/10 could dominate the outcome of this low-key handicap and the lightly weighted BOLD FLASH gets the nod to reverse the form. The five-year old Newton mare has struck up a fine recent partnership with this 4kgs claiming apprentice and she ran on strongly for 2nd, beat- en just half a length by the former over this c & d, that day. She stayed on strongly for a close 3rd in her subsequent effort over 1450m and should go very close again.

Jockey: Ian STURGEON - Trainer: Leon ERASMUS

JUST FANTASIZE was soundly trounced by BAGS OF BOODLES recently but crucially that was over six furlongs. The five-year old mare showed exactly what she is capable of when she flew late to finish runner-up in her sand debut at her penultimate start over a mile. She will be a totally different proposition over today's trip and interestingly Sturgeon gets the ride back.
