Race 2: JOHNN HANDSOME(6)
Race 3: ZOO BISCUIT(9)
Race 4: COCO(7)
Magic Tips Best Bets
Jockey: Raymond DANIELSON - Trainer: Tara LAING
BOLT OF LIGHT has had three smart local efforts on the polytrack and he now makes his grass debut in PE. The son of Dynasty gives every indication that he will stay all day and this trip could be exactly what he requires. He meets similar opposition and despite his hefty mass, should go close.
Race 4: DINESEN(3)
Jockey: Greg CHEYNE - Trainer: Alan GREEFF
DINESEN is clearly most effective on the grass and she bounced right back to form with a gutsy last effort. The daughter of Antonius Pius led throughout the mile contest on that occasion and just lasted to beat subsequent winner COCO by a neck. She is now 2.5kgs better off with the runner-up and the shorter trip will be no issue for the Greeff inmate who can still hold that form.
Race 6: TOSS THE DICE(1)
Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: Grant PADDOCK
TOSS THE DICE is effective on both local tracks and he comes here in search of a hat-trick. He was an easy maiden winner over nine furlongs on this course in his penultimate run and then followed that up with a workmanlike winning handicap debut on the polytrack over 1900m. The latest win earned him a three pound penalty but very importantly, the son of Horse Chestnut has finally cracked a good draw. He has a smart turn of foot so the mile should be no issue.
Race 8: YOU BEAUTY(3) - TOP BET
Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: Glen KOTZEN
YOU BEAUTY continues to be consistent and her two local efforts against male rivals have been solid. She challenged strongly when beaten half a length into 2nd over this c & d last time and the 3rd placed finisher won subsequently to give that form a boost. This daughter of Carpocrates has her first local crack at her own sex and she should go very close with an in-form Muzi Yeni in the irons.
Jockey: Richard FOURIE - Trainer: Justin SNAITH
CAPE SISKIN is much better than his last performance when he was beaten just under three lengths by the speedy BOARDWALK CLASSIC. The 3kgs weight reversal in favour of the former doesn't seem to be enough, but the Snaith inmate may have been unsuited to the yielding conditions on that occasion and he could be a totally different proposition today. The son of Trippi is ideally c & d suited and he can finish much closer.
