Jockey: Greg CHEYNE - Trainer: Glen KOTZEN

ONE WAY TICKET has come extremely well since the break and she found outside betting support in her improved last two comeback runs over this c & d. The well-related daughter of Jet Master has shown good speed to date and she will have lots more improvement to come on her third run after a break.

Race 4: HEARTLAND(2)
Jockey: Richard FOURIE - Trainer: Justin SNAITH

HEARTLAND is way above-average and he still has lots more improvement to come. The striking son of Dynasty and full brother to former champion, Jackson has caught the eye in each of his three efforts. He only got going late in a similar handicap over this trip last time but this long run-in could make all the difference today. The Snaith inmate has his third run after the layoff and he should give a very good account of himself.

Jockey: Sean CORMACK - Trainer: Joey RAMSDEN

COLD AS ICE's temperament got the better of her as she was a late wihdrawal when she was due to contest the Grade 1 Fillies Guineas, recently. The daughter of Western Winter has shown that she could be 'something special' and she completed a fine hat-trick of wins with a smart victory in the Grade 2 Fillies Championship over seven furlongs last time out. The bay filly shoulders a big mass against older rivals today but she is equally effective over this shorter trip and could still take a power of beating.

Jockey: Grant V/NIEKERK - Trainer: Mike BASS

A classy field of sprinters has been assembled for this Grade 2 event and it renews the rivalry between the local hopeful FLY BY NIGHT and PE visitor COPPER PARADE. Of course, the pair clashed in the Grade 1 Mercury Sprint over this distance at Clairwood in the KZN winter and the five-year old mare kept going well to win by a half a length on that occasion. They meet on identical weight terms now and she has reeled off successive victories in her two comeback runs since. The daughter of Jet Master will be cherry-ripe on her third run after the break and she is selected to once again get the better of the latter, this time on home soil.

Race 8: M'LORDS THROAT(1)
Jockey: Heavelon v/d HOVEN - Trainer: Justin SNAITH

This is an extremely competitive handicap that features some useful up-and-coming sorts and an exciti- ng finish is on the cards. There could be a decent gallop on and a true result is expected. The narrow first selection goes to the Justin Snaith trained seven-year old gelding M'LORDS THROAT who will benefit hugely from a 4kgs apprentice allowance. The son of Silvano has been campaigning against stronger for a while and he has a decent record over this trip.
