Jockey: Grant BEHR - Trainer: Eric SANDS

ELEN LUYDDOG has shown promise to date and she has improved with each of her two comeback runs. She was clearly 2nd best behind Imperial Rose in her penultimate start but challenged strongly when close- up in a competitive field last time. She had SECRET SOCIETY just over one length adrift of her in that penultimate outing and has had the benefit of racing around the turn. The daughter of Trippi should enjoy this extra furlong and she can stake another serious claim from her good barrier position.

Jockey: Richard FOURIE - Trainer: Justin SNAITH

Once again this is a very competitive maiden contest but equipping blinkers onto the impeccably bred, IMIBALA could be key to the outcome. The grey colt has come on appreciably with each of his three runs and only greenness got the better of him when he was close-up over ten furlongs, recently. The son of Dynasty has lots of scope for improvement and he will be much more comfortable down the long run-in. The Snaith inmate meets a competitive field but he seems to have a bit of class about him and he is the one to beat. That said, he will be severely tested here.

Jockey: Grant BEHR - Trainer: Eric SANDS

The three-year old filly SHIMMERING LEAVES wasn't up to the task as she faced male rivals in the recent Ready To Run Cup over this c & d but she is capable of much better, especially against her own sex. The daughter of Antonius Pius had solid credentials before that and she finished a creditable 3rd behind a top sort in her penultimate outing. The Eric Sands inmate will be more competitive in this handicap and she can stake a serious claim.

Race 8: MUSIC APP(1)
Jockey: Greg CHEYNE - Trainer: Darryl HODGSON

MUSIC APP continues to improve and he is the form runner in this final event. He challenged strongly when beaten just over one length into 2nd over this c & d in a very strong line-up last time and has solid claims of going one better.

This is the first of a jackpot of very competitive handicaps that features some smart three-year olds and a thrilling finish is expected. However, the top selection goes to the lightly raced five-year old gelding SILVER SALVER from the Eric Sands yard. This son of Silvano has come right back to his best in his last few starts and his comeback win over this c & d was impressive. He led throughout to easily beat TOUR DE VAR (3kgs better off) after a 27 week absence and he will strip much fitter this time around. He has much more scope than the latter and despite a resultant six pound penalty, he should go well.
