Jockey: Greg CHEYNE - Trainer: Eric SANDS

ELEN LUYDDOG has shown promise to date but could be plagued with issues. She was second best in her comeback run over this c & d after a lengthy absence last time but will strip much fitter today. The daughter of Trippi doesn't take on many form runners and she finished a good 2nd behind a smart sort in her penultimate outing and should go very close.

Jockey: Grant V/NIEKERK - Trainer: Mike BASS

TOMBA LA BOMBA had excuses for his below-par second effort in a big field over six furlongs on this course, recently. However, he met a very strong line-up on that occasion and wasn't completely disgra- ced in finishing back in 5th position, beaten just under six lengths after that slow start. He caught the eye with a smart debut over the minimum trip at Durbanville in his penultimate run and has obvious scope for improvement. The Mike Bass inmate should make good improvement from that last run and is a major factor.

Jockey: Corne ORFFER - Trainer: Brett CRAWFORD

This is an interesting contest and though the betting market may suggest otherwise, it certainly isn't a two-horse race. SKYLAR LANE and VOGUE'S WOOD are the obvious main contenders after both fillies produced smart debuts over seven furlongs on this course, a few weeks ago. The former was quietly fancied in the betting market and she set the pace before staying on for 2nd behind the highly rated School Run. She should blossom with racing and the manner in which she stayed on suggests that she will relish the mile. The daughter of Western Winter will love this longer run-in.

Jockey: Karl NEISIUS - Trainer: Paddy KRUYER

The top weight CATCHPHRASE hasn't won for quite some time but she has done well in recent outings and is threatening her next career win. She may have just needed her below-par last run but will be fitter today and she runs well for Neisius. The form of her last start was franked by the 3rd placed runner who won subsequently and this daughter of Ashaawes should go very close in this line-up.

Jockey: Sean CORMACK - Trainer: Joey RAMSDEN

JUDDERING ANGEL hasn't won for quite some time but he has shown encouraging signs since returning from a lengthy break. The son of Judpot is obviously plagued with issues but he ran on from far back for a decent 4th over this c & d, two weeks ago. His good 3 draw is a major plus and he will be cherry-ripe on his third run after the rest.
