Jockey: Alec FORBES - Trainer: Robbie HILL

The well-related SEATTLE LIGHT made big improvement second time out when he challenged strongly and went down half a length into 2nd over this trip on the polytrack. He would have strengthened during his ten week absence and should continue to improve. He tries the grass for the first time today.

Race 6: ROC 'N ROSE(6)
Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: Duncan HOWELLS

ROC 'N ROSE gets reunited with Muzi Yeni and that could be crucial to the outcome of this event. Of course, the daughter of Toreador won a listed event over this distance with this jockey aboard, four runs back. The Howells inmate ran on well for 2nd behind JAY POWER over this c & d last time and her yard has come to form over the past fortnight.

Jockey: Warren KENNEDY - Trainer: Kumaran NAIDOO

ROYAL ZULU WARRIOR hasn't won for a while but his comeback run over the minimum trip was pleasing and he can build on that. He will strip fitter and his yard is in great form. The eight-year old gelding has faced stronger than today's opposition and he should go very close over this extra furlong.

Jockey: Donovan DILLON - Trainer: Doug CAMPBELL

OPEN HEIR is effective on both local surfaces and he brings solid recent form into this contest. He finished a creditable third behind subsequent winners in Gauteng over this trip in his penultimate run and then followed that up with a solid last performance over nine furlongs on the polytrack at Greyville. The Doug Campbell inmate has lots more to offer and he could take a power of beating, if he handles this track.

Jockey: Stuart RANDOLPH - Trainer: Duncan HOWELLS

HIS APPROVAL needed both his comeback runs on the polytrack for his new yard and he is much better than his recent form suggests. He continues to drop in the ratings and the manner in which he finishes his races, suggests that this extra distance is within his grasp. The four-year old gelding has his third run after the layoff and he can upset in this low-key handicap. His best recent performance came under this 2.5kgs claiming apprentice.
