Jockey: Gavin LERENA - Trainer: Geoff WOODRUFF

CORLEONI had two smart sprints within the space of nine days and the subsequent three week break would have done him the world of good. The Trippi gelding has lots of scope for improvement and his pedigree suggests that he will relish this extra furlong. The obvious concern is how he will handle the turn but his good draw is a major plus and he should go very well.

Jockey: Gavin LERENA - Trainer: Geoff WOODRUFF

LOCKHEED JETSTAR had excuses for his poor last attempt over ten furlongs but the mile is certainly his game and he will be a real force here. He finished well for a close 4th in a Grade 2 in his penultima- te run and the son of Jet Master has shown lots of class. The six-year old gelding should go very close in this line-up.

Jockey: Weichong MARWING - Trainer: Weiho MARWING

COOL CHARDONNAY is lightly raced and has shown smart form in his last three outings. He produced a strong burst to beat a subsequent winner in the maidens over nine furlongs in his penultimate start before being given a ten week break. The son of Antonius Pius certainly strengthened during the rest as he caught the eye with an impressive comeback run behind two smart sorts at progress level over nine furlongs, two weeks ago. The Weiho Marwing inmate only tired late when perhaps needing the run & finished three lengths adrift of Heart Of A Lion. He will strip fitter today and he meets the runner up KINGMAMBO'S LEGACY on 4kgs better terms for that 1.50 length beating. The extra furlong should be right up his alley and is a major contender.

Jockey: Ian STURGEON - Trainer: Gary ALEXANDER

ORIENTAL BLUE is consistent and he transferred his good recent form onto the sand. The Mullins Bay gelding has a good c & d record and he races off an inferior grass rating. The Gary Alexander inmate should go very close in this field, despite his wide draw. The runner that will be all the rage in the betting market is ERTIJAAL from the Mike de Kock yard.

Jockey: Sherman BROWN - Trainer: Leon ERASMUS

There are plenty of moderate maiden types in this event and RAFA could have his day in the sun. The Leon Erasmus trained colt has shown ability from day one and he is much better than his recent runs. He could be at his level best over this minimum trip and he should go very close in this weaker field.
