Race 2: KISS ME HARDY(4)
Jockey: Francois NAUDE - Trainer: Corne SPIES

ISS ME HARDY is a smart three-year old who loves the sand and he is well-weighted in this pinnacle stakes event. The son of Captain Al easily trounced some hard-knocking sand performers over six furlongs on his track debut and then challenged strongly when runner-up over the minimum trip here, two weeks ago. He should love this extra distance on his pedigree and should go close in this line-up.

Jockey: Piere STRYDOM - Trainer: Sean TARRY

CRYSTAL'S REVENGE has been excellent on the sand since returning from a 14 week break. She has a smart turn of foot and she thrashed male rivals over this c & d, four weeks ago. The daughter of Dynasty may have escaped with just a five pound penalty and she clearly has lots more scope. She was outrun late by CAPTAIN'S DELIGHT in her penultimate run on this surface and she is 1.5kgs worse off with that rival, but crucially that was over the mile. The Sean Tarry inmate has a short but effective burst of speed and this is her optimum trip. Her wide draw is the biggest issue but Strydom climbs back aboard and the four-year old filly should go very close.

Jockey: Gavin LERENA - Trainer: Roy MAGNER

USISI has a fair record on the sand and she produced two pleasing comeback runs after a 14 week break. She could be at her level-best over the minimum trip and drops in class on her third run after a rest.

Race 7: NICE STRIDE(3)
Jockey: Sherman BROWN - Trainer: Leon ERASMUS

NICE STRIDE hasn't been far off in recent efforts and he should have finished even closer in his last outing on the turf. He was easily beaten by DUTY DANCE over this c & d in his penultimate run and though he is only 3kgs better off at the weights, his pole position barrier makes him a lively contender. The Imperial Stride gelding continues to drop in the ratings.

Race 3: RACING SOCKS(4)
Jockey: Piere STRYDOM - Trainer: Brian WIID

RACING SOCKS has been poor in his two comeback runs but the son of Indigo Magic did show some ability in his second career outing. The chestnut colt has shown some pace in his races and he is a smart looker that does seem to have improvement in him. It is very encouraging that Strydom climbs aboard the Brian Wiid inmate and there could be serious improvement from the colt who makes his sand debut. His handy draw will stand him in good stead around the turn.
