Magic Tips Best Bets

Jockey: Francois NAUDE - Trainer: Barend BOTES

The formline behind Kwinta on 30/12 could dominate proceedings in this maiden event. LADY ELEANOR is the form selection and she fought hard when going down one length into 2nd over this c & d in the event referred to above. She tired late when a fair 3rd over further last time but reverts to sprinting today and is the one to beat.

Race 4: LOVE TOKEN(13)
Jockey: Raymond DANIELSON - Trainer: Sean TARRY

LOVE TOKEN drifted alarmingly in the betting market when she produced a fair debut over six furlongs at the Vaal, three weeks ago. She was well beaten into 3rd behind runaway winner Lumya that day but will relish the step-up to the mile and should build on the run. She is drawn well on her debut around the bend.

Race 5: FLAME CAT(6) - TOP BET
Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: Michael AZZIE

There are some top class speedsters in this conditions event and a cracking finish is anticipated. The Mike Azzie trained three-year old daughter of Tale Of The Cat, FLAME CAT has shown top ability over this minimum trip and she has fared well against male rivals before. She showed her class when winning a similar event last time and can stake a serious claim with just 53.5kgs on her back.

Race 6: OUR JET(5)
Jockey: Marco V/RENSBURG - Trainer: Mike BASS

OUR JET has done well in both his Highveld runs. He was outrun late over this c & d in his penultimate start and ran on nicely from his wide draw over a mile on the inside course, two weeks ago. The son of Jet Master has his third run after a short break today and he should go very close from his midfield barrier.

Race 3: STONEHENGE(7) (Each Way)
Jockey: Raymond DANIELSON - Trainer: Sean TARRY

The Tarry/Danielson team could be at it again here and STONEHENGE gets the nod. This son of Seventh Rock has shown some ability and he caught the eye when running on again to be promoted to 3rd over six furlongs, two weeks ago. That run suggested that he is searching for further and his trainer's response could be rewarded today. The bay colt is drawn well and has experience around the turn.
