Race 5: BRIDE'S DOWRY(2)
Race 7: LAND OF MEADOWS(8)
Magic Tips Best Bets
Jockey: Raymond DANIELSON - Trainer: Tara LAING
COCO has been ultra-consistent since arriving in PE and she won her only polytrack outing. She is best in on official ratings in this conditions event and has plenty more to offer on this surface. The daughter of Royal Air Force is drawn widest in this small field but she has a strong finish and could take some beating.
Race 3: BOLLYWOOD BABE(1)
Jockey: Juan-Paul v.d.MERWE - Trainer: Gavin SMITH
BOLLYWOOD BABE's change in fortunes has coincided with her yard's decent run of form. This daughter of Stage Call caught the eye with a late finish in her penultimate run on this track and she followed that up with a running on 2nd behind Terrybelle over this c & d, six weeks ago. She was 1.50 lengths in front of PATENT OF NOBILITY on that occasion and has more scope for improvement. The Gavin Smith inmate is drawn in pole and she should go very close.
Race 6: STRONG MAN SAM(5)
Jockey: Xolane NDLOVU - Trainer: Alan GREEFF
STRONG MAN SAM has been a revelation on this surface and he used his gigantic stride to good effect when he found more to get back to winning ways, recently. That victory earned him a five pound hike but he still has plenty more to offer and will easily handle the slight rise in class. He should also cope with the minimum trip and the son of Antonius Pius has strong claims of following up.
Race 9: IMPERIAL VELVET(9)
Jockey: Raymond DANIELSON - Trainer: Renate DU PLESSIS
IMPERIAL VELVET bounced right back to his best form when he was outrun late into 2nd over a mile on the grass, seven days ago. He has been equally effective on the polytrack and has proven his versatil- ity. The son of Imperial Stride will be cherry-ripe on his third run after the layoff and he should go very well in this line-up. He is only 0.5kg worse off with FIRTH OF CLYDE on official ratings.
Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: George UREN
ESS EL KAY has been competing against much stronger for some time now and he has faced some heavy defeats at the hands of the classy sprinter Unannounced. However, the son of Var has gradually dropped in the ratings and he has a cracking record over this c & d. He has won with a bigger mass previously and should bounce right back to his best form here.
