Race 5: GLAMOUR GAL(3)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Jockey: Richard FOURIE - Trainer: Justin SNAITH

More than half of this field of eight runners are unraced so the betting market needs to be closely followed. However, the experience could count heavily and NORDIC WIND and LEYLANI can dominate the finish. The former has shown useful ability in her two starts and she challenged strongly when going down three parts of a length into 2nd over this c & d, three weeks ago. She finished just over three lengths in front of the latter that day and is clearly the one to beat.

Race 4: GOOD GRACE(10)
Jockey: Grant V/NIEKERK - Trainer: Mike BASS

GOOD GRACE lacked a strong finish over a mile second time out and her conditioner has wasted little time in reverting the daughter of Silvano to sprinting. Of course, she made a really smart debut when she ran on strongly for 2nd over today's c & d in early January. The Mike Bass inmate should go very close in this line-up.

Race 5: VOGUE'S WOOD(2)
Jockey: Bernard FAYD'HERBE - Trainer: Mike BASS

VOGUE'S WOOD was below-par when she tired late last time but she may have just needed the effort after returning from a nine week break. The well-related daughter of Fort Wood has shown decent ability and she will strip much fitter. She is only having her fourth career outing so there is still plenty of scope and she will relish the step-up to the mile. The Mike Bass inmate faces an ordinary field and she jumps from a good draw.

Race 8: AZINCOURT(4)
Jockey: Bernard FAYD'HERBE - Trainer: Joey RAMSDEN

AZINCOURT is often thereabouts and he is at his best over this c & d. He accounted for many of today's rivals when running on for 2nd behind Triptique on Met day and has strong claims of notching up that deserved third career win. The four-year old gelding seems to have reached a competitive mark and is the one to beat.

Race 6: CHASING DREAMS(3) (Each Way)
Jockey: Andrew FORTUNE - Trainer: Adam MARCUS

CHASING DREAMS has reached a competitive mark in her rating and her last two sprints have been decent. The daughter of Rebel King clearly prefers further though and her only career win came over this c & d The blinkers have been removed and the four-year old filly can stake a serious claim from her good draw. Andrew Fortune does duty for the Marcus yard from a good draw.
