Race 3: C'EST CHIQUE(1)
Race 5: CEDAR WOOD(1)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Jockey: Charles NDLOVU - Trainer:  Lucky HOUDALAKIS

MISSISSIPPI RISING found betting support when he made an encouraging debut over this c & d, three weeks ago. He showed good pace but was blown away by the finish of Manx Missile, albeit he stayed on for 2nd. He would have benefitted from the experience and the son of Captain Al should have further progress to come. He gets the services of a very capable workrider.

Jockey: Siyabonga DUMA - Trainer:  Dominic ZAKI

ULTIMATE TIGER is a long-time maiden but he enjoys this course and he pushed a subsequent winner hard over a mile, recently. This shorter trip will suit him perfectly and he gets a very capable workrider in the irons. He will get stiff competition from OREO and SCAR TISSUE though.

Race 5: CEDAR WOOD(1)
Jockey: Joe GWINGWIZHA - Trainer: Sean TARRY

CEDAR WOOD is consistent but continues to be costly to follow. However, he is better than his distant second on the sand last time and had promising grass form, prior to that. The son of Fort Beluga has gone close under this workrider before and he can stake a serious claim in this line-up.

Jockey: Samuel MOSIA - Trainer: Weiho MARWING

MAMASITA has shown decent improvement and promises even more with experience. She was a good 2nd in her penultimate start over a mile and made eye-catching late progress over the same c & d when drawn badly, ten days. The daughter of Admire Main races as if this ten furlongs will suit her perfectly and she could take a power of beating, if seeing out the trip. She jumps from a handy draw and takes on moderate sorts.

Race 8: AWESOME ADAM(13) (Each Way)
Jockey: Lyle HEWITSON - Trainer: Michael AZZIE

A competitive contest featuring numerous form runners ends the day's proceedings and an exciting finish is on the cards. AWESOME ADAM hated the sand last time but showed good ability with two solid turf performances over a mile, prior to that. The form of those races worked out well and the Mike Azzie inmate could make good improvement back on the grass today. His pedigree suggests that he will enjoy this ten furlongs.
