Magic Tips Best Bets

Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: Luiz CUNHA

SOVEREIGN REIGN is the standout in this moderate contest and Anton Marcus climbs aboard the son of Dynasty. The three-year old bay gelding is lightly raced and his escapade to Gauteng didn't go well at all. However, he seems to have recovered from that as he bounced back to form with a solid comeback performance, six weeks ago. He finished 2nd best behind subsequent winner Sea Fever in yielding going over this distance and should strip fitter. His yard had a winner at this venue last Friday and this gelding will be very tough to beat, if he handles this surface.

Jockey: Keagan DE MELO - Trainer: Mark DIXON

RAISE AND DOUBLE has the best credentials in another very weak maiden contest but her fitness is the only issue. The Mark Dixon inmate had two promising polytrack attempts prior to her 13 week absence and she has finally cracked a good draw.

Race 4: LUCKY BREAK(4)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: Tony RIVALLAND

LUCKY BREAK is in cracking form and he loves this surface. He was outrun late into 2nd over this c & d last time and now drops slightly in class. The son of Muhtafal picked up a two pound penalty for that effort but he should still go very close in this line-up.

Race 7: AL CIBERANO(1)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: Tony RIVALLAND

Just seven runners go to post for tonight's topliner but the speedsters should ensure an exciting finish. AL CIBERANO is the obvious first selection courtesy of his cracking polytrack record. The son of Al Miqdaam almost completed a hat-trick of wins when pipped on the post over six furlongs, three weeks ago. That near miss earned him a seven pound penalty but the chestnut gelding is still improving and has lots more to offer. He will be cherry-ripe on his third run after the layoff and has no issues with tonight's minimum trip. Anton Marcus takes the ride.

Race 6: KEPT SECRET(7) (Each Way)
Jockey: Anthony DELPECH - Trainer: Belinda IMPEY

KEPT SECRET is less effective over six furlongs which explains her disappointing last effort. However, she loves the polytrack and in particular this minimum distance. The daughter of King Of Kings has obviously taken that recent performance well and she could be a real force tonight. She has drawn pole position and gets another top jockey aboard.
