Race 3: FABRIZIO(1)
Race 7: UNCLE TOMMY(1)
Race 8: SKY CASTLE(11)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Jockey: Keagan DE MELO - Trainer: Michael ROBERTS

FLYING LUXMI has the best credentials in this opening contest and she is overdue her first career victory. She is ideally c & d suited and she has finished runner-up in 5 of her last 6 starts. The daughter of Black Minnaloushe is drawn in pole position and she rates as the one to beat.

Race 2: GUN FIGHTER(1)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: Dennis BOSCH

GUN FIGHTER has acclimatized well in KZN and he finished runner-up in both his comeback runs. He ran on steadily to be 2nd best in stronger company over this c & d last time and will be cherry-ripe this evening. The son of Imperial Stride gets the services of Anton Marcus and merits healthy respect.

Race 3: FABRIZIO(1)
Jockey: Akshay BALLOO - Trainer: Weiho MARWING

FABRIZIO was very disappointing when he didn't quicken over a mile on this surface recently but his previous form shows that he is much better than that. He could prefer this slightly shorter trip and the engaging of a 4kgs claiming apprentice could make a big difference for the son of Lateral. The form of his last start has worked out well.

Race 4: RED LABEL(1)
Jockey: Sean CORMACK - Trainer: Dennis DRIER

There may not be a strong gallop in this competitive handicap and that could play into the top weight, RED LABEL's hands. The Dennis Drier inmate is in the form of her life and she boasts three wins from her last four outings, two of which came on this surface. She may have escaped with a three pound penalty for her last turf win and will be very competitive in this line-up. She is the stable elect.

Race 6: FRENCH MARK(7) (Each Way)
Jockey: Akshay BALLOO - Trainer: Des EGDES

FRENCH MARK is a course specialist who adopted different tactics to very good effect over this c & d last time out. The four-year old gelding ran on strongly for 2nd from a poor draw and was beaten three parts of a length at the wire. He takes on stronger now but has cracked a good draw & his conditioner has engaged a 4kgs claiming apprentice.
