Race 4: HILARIA(2)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 4: LEGAL FORCE(1)
Jockey: Karl NEISIUS - Trainer: Paddy KRUYER

LEGAL FORCE has shown useful form to date and she overcame some obstacles but was caught late over this c & d, three weeks ago. She has a tendency to jump slowly, which is always concerning but Neisius would have learnt a bit about her and the pair could still take all the beating.

Race 7: BABY BE MINE(10)
Jockey: Grant V/NIEKERK - Trainer: Paul REEVES

This is another intriguing handicap, mostly due to the riding engagements. Stable jockey to the Mike Bass yard, Grant van Niekerk has dodged both the stable's runners in favour of the top selection BABY BE MINE. Interestingly though, he has teamed up well with this filly in the past and she jumps from pole position today. The five-year old mare is holding her form well and she enjoys this c & d. She shoulders a low mass of just 52kgs and should handle the rise in class.

Jockey: Richard FOURIE - Trainer: Justin SNAITH

Only a small field of eight runners go to post for this handicap over a mile and with a few natural frontrunners on display, there should be a solid gallop and a true result is expected. OREO SHAKE is better than his recent form suggests and he often gets going too late in his races. He is c & d suited and the likely blistering gallop will play right into the hands of the Snaith inmate. His pole barrier position is a major plus.

Race 9: GAUTENG(2)
Jockey: Bernard FAYD'HERBE - Trainer: Joey RAMSDEN

GAUTENG has done well in blinkers in her last two starts over this c & d. She was outrun late into 2nd three weeks ago and despite an awkward barrier, she should go very close in this line-up. That said, she will receive stiff competition from a few other form rivals.

Race 3: LA ROCHELLE(2) (Each Way)
Jockey: Grant V/NIEKERK - Trainer: Mike BASS

This is another small but competitive field of juveniles. The Carmina formline on 04/03 should feature prominently but a form reversal could be on the cards. LA ROCHELLE was having her second outing and little went her way after an awkward start but the Mike Bass inmate still ran on nicely late to finish 3rd, beaten 1.60 lengths at the line. She has exactly one and a half lengths to find with the runner up PRINCESS JANE who was touched off in that event, but the top rating could enjoy the extra 100m and the switch to this track.
