Race 2: ROY'S GUL GUL HA(5)
Race 6: DAVID'S FLOWER(10)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Jockey: Warren KENNEDY - Trainer: Gavin VAN ZYL

WELL DRESSED has produced two smart efforts over six furlongs. She was 2nd best on debut but built on that as she finished powerfully and was denied victory by a head on the polytrack, second time out. The daughter of Ashaawes has been slow into stride in both her runs and that is concerning but she will love this extra furlong and could take a power of beating.

Jockey: Anthony DELPECH - Trainer: Alyson WRIGHT

CHASING THE SUN has improved nicely since his moderate sprint debut and he has good scope for further progress. He finished a close 3rd over this c & d in his penultimate run and then ran on at the finish after being slow into stride over a mile, last time out. He was comfortably beaten by DAGGER FALL in that latest effort but he could capitalize on the poor draw of the latter and reverse the form. He is having just his fourth career outing and in-form Delpech climbs aboard.

Jockey: Sean CORMACK - Trainer: Dennis DRIER

GATHERING FAME hasn't been well placed by her conditioner in this allowance contest but she is way above-average and is clearly ahead of the handicapper. She is effective on both surfaces and after impressive back-to-back polytrack wins, she showed her class with a listed victory after travelling to the Cape. The daughter of Jet Master seems to have issues though but she is all class and her trainers patience could pay off this season. The four-year old filly races well fresh and she can defy the weights and win her comeback outing in her home province today.

Race 8: ART DECO(1)
Jockey: Sean CORMACK - Trainer: Dennis DRIER

There are plenty of decent fillies in this graduation contest and this formline could be worth following. ART DECO has always been highly regarded by her yard and she produced two impressive back to back wins over a mile on the polytrack, recently. The daughter of Dynasty took a steep rise in class and shouldered a big mass but cruised to victory on her handicap debut, six weeks ago. She takes on stronger now but has a bright future and can complete her hat-trick.

Race 7: SACRED JEWEL(4) (Each Way)
Jockey: Sean VEALE - Trainer: Mike MILLER

SACRED JEWEL is the narrow first selection in this competitive handicap. He was below-par against stronger after being slow into stride in his comeback run but will be fitter and is unbeaten in two runs over this c & d. He is well drawn and should be involved in the finish.
