Race 5: COBY(2)
Race 9: KISS ME HARDY(5)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Jockey: Anthony DELPECH - Trainer: Mike DE KOCK

ENTISAAR is a top sort in the making and she landed the gamble with an impressive feature win on debut over the minimum trip on this course, three weeks ago. The Mike de Kock inmate raced just off the pace and she ran on well to beat the fast SPEEDY SUZY in yielding conditions. She meets the latter on 3kgs worse terms but has huge scope for improvement and could be something special.

Jockey: S'manga KHUMALO - Trainer: Gavin VAN ZYL

REDCARPET CAPTAIN was fancied when he produced a strong finish to record an impressive winning debut over the minimum trip against winners, seven weeks ago. He would have strengthened since and the expensive son of Captain Al has lots more improvement to come. The Van Zyl inmate should handle the rise in class and he holds strong claims with Khumalo back in the irons.

Race 7: SIREN'S CALL(2)
Jockey: Piere STRYDOM - Trainer: Sean TARRY

SIREN'S CALL is top class and she enhanced her reputation when she fought back well to beat her stabl- emate TROPHY WIFE in the Guineas over a mile, recently. The daughter of Elusive Fort has plenty more improvement to come and this extra furlong will suit her perfectly. She has been defeated just once in five runs with Strydom on her back and the Tarry inmate can close off this second leg of the Triple Tiara.

Race 8: ERTIJAAL(2)
Jockey: Gavin LERENA - Trainer: Mike DE KOCK

ERTIJAAL has swept all before him in four scintillating victories, the latest of which is the pick as  he travelled to the Cape and demolished his Grade 1 rivals over ten furlongs in the Derby on Met day. The imported son of Hard Spun deserved his eight week break and he has a bright future, possibly on the global stage ahead of him. The Mike de Kock inmate has a brilliant turn of foot and he will be tough to beat back in his home province. He loves this galloping track and even his wide barrier position may not be able to stop him maintaining his unbeaten record. He will get stiff competition from Harry’s SON and FRENCH NAVY though.

Race 5: MARIA THERESA(9) (Each Way)
Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: Mike DE KOCK

MARIA THERESA is a smart sort who caught the eye with a solid last performance in a similar feature over a mile on this track, four weeks ago. Her jockey had little option but to race her wide from a poor draw that day but the daughter of Dynasty responded in the final stages as she finished well for 4th, beaten 2.50 lengths at the line. She has a length and a half to find with the five-year old mare FORTITUDE on that performance but has much more scope for improvement and this extra furlong will suit her perfectly. She should reverse the form with the latter and Muzi Yeni retains the ride on the ligh- tweight.
