Race 1: PACIFICA(11)
Jockey: Donavan MANSOUR - Trainer: Johan Janse v/Vuuren

There are numerous first timers in this opening juvenile event for fillies and the betting market must be closely monitored. However, the top rating PACIFICA could make her debut experience count and she gets the verdict. The Corne' Spies inmate was considered good enough to make her debut in a feature over this trip at Turffontein, three weeks ago. She had an awkward start in the yielding going that day but caught the eye with decent late progress for 4th, beaten just over five lengths at the line. The daughter of Lecture drops in class and should make natural improvement.

Jockey: Donavan MANSOUR - Trainer: Stanley FERREIRA

BAR DOT ACCENT was slow into stride on his poor debut around the turn but he showed his capabilities with a smart second outing. He raced in touch over this c & d that day and stayed on well for 2nd, beaten a length and a half at the line. The 3rd placed finisher gave that form plenty of respectabili- ty when winning his subsequent start and this son of King's Apostle has plenty more improvement to come.

Race 6: DIVANO(1)
Jockey: Chase MAUJEAN - Trainer:  Lucky HOUDALAKIS

DIVANO has teamed up well with Maujean and the pair have finished runner-up in their last three runs. This daughter of Silvano clearly benefitted from the break and she was an unlucky loser over a mile in her last start after having to switch at a crucial stage. She was upped three pounds for that effort but will prefer this longer run-in and can make amends from pole position.

Race 8: PUNK ROCKER(2)
Jockey: Anthony DELPECH - Trainer: Mike DE KOCK

PUNK ROCKER has good ability and is still lightly raced but is unfortunately plagued with issues. However, he caught the eye with a solid comeback performance behind a top sort over this c & d four weeks ago. The son of Trippi should easily handle this rise in class and Delpech knows him well. The Mike de Kock inmate will strip fitter and has solid claims in this contest.

Race 4: SHE'S A FLIRT(13) (Each Way)
Jockey: MJ BYLEVELD - Trainer: Erico VERDONESE

SHE'S A FLIRT is obviously showing decent work back home as she found outside betting support and produced a fair debut over the minimum trip on this track, three weeks ago. The daughter of Announce was outpaced in the early stages but ran on steadily for 4th, beaten just under four lengths at the line. She takes on stronger opposition now but should enjoy this extra furlong and will have more to offer.
