Jockey: Anthony DELPECH - Trainer: Craig EUDEY

FINDING NEVERLAND is holding her form well at this level and she should have finished much closer but for an awkward start in her last outing. Still, the six-year old mare ran on strongly for 3rd, beaten 1.50 lengths over this c & d at the wire and now meets the runner-up VICTORY TAKEOVER on 4.5kgs better weight terms. She has rejuvenated her career since racing on this polytrack and is definitely the horse to beat from her good draw. Anthony Delpech knows her well.

Jockey: Sean CORMACK - Trainer: Justin SNAITH

Only nine runners go to post for this pinnacle contest but there will be plenty of interest as some big names take their place in the line-up. The Snaith contingent have arrived on our shores and the smashing looking son of Jet Master, JET EXPLORER is the first entrant from the yard for this KZN champions season. The six-year old gelding still hasn't won since his Greyville 1900 triumph, nearly two years ago but he suffered a major setback the last time he came to this province and was out of action for 20 weeks. He may never be at his best again but he showed some encouraging signs in the Cape and finished a very creditable 4th in the Queen's Plate in his penultimate effort. He is very well in at the weights tonight and though he won't be fully wound-up, the Snaith inmate should take a power of beating.

Race 6: ONE FINE DAY(2)
Jockey: Anthony DELPECH - Trainer: Mike DE KOCK

Only 7 three year-old fillies contest this Grade 3 event but it is a very tricky affair and obvious caution is advised. ONE FINE DAY probably enjoyed her finest display of her career when she went close over this c & d as a juvenile in a Grade 1 contest last winter. She has been way below her best on the Highveld since and has developed the nasty tendency to jump slowly. That said, she has finished in the money in back-to-back features in both her comeback runs and now has her third run after a break. She is best in on official ratings and of course, faces her own sex tonight. She deserves plenty of respect but must jump on terms.

Jockey: Stuart RANDOLPH - Trainer: G/K ANTHONY

WILD NAMAQUA had two excellent six furlong efforts on the grass and the polytrack. He was touched off into 2nd on both those occasions and the manner in which he finished last time, suggests that the son of Black Minnaloushe will relish tonight's extra furlong. He seems above-average and should take a power of beating from his midfield barrier. The chestnut gelding meets an ordinary line-up. It is worth noting that jockey Stuart Randolph has opted for the top rating, in favour of his stable's ride, DAGGER FALL.

Race 7: EASY LOVER(3) (Each Way)
Jockey: Stuart RANDOLPH - Trainer: Duncan HOWELLS

This is the male version of the previous Grade 3 contest and is as tricky, if not even more so. EASY LOVER is above-average and he wasn't disgraced in both his fair Gauteng feature efforts. However, he reserves his best for KZN and quickened in emphatic fashion to win a minor feature over a mile, the last time he raced on this track. He takes on stronger here and is out at the weights with a few rivals but his proven track record will come in handy. The son of Right Approach is well drawn at gate 2 and he should be competitive.
