Race 1: ROY'S GUL GUL HA(9)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 2: LUCKY BREAK(3)
Jockey: Luyolo MXOTHWA - Trainer: Tony RIVALLAND

LUCKY BREAK has been a model of consistency since racing on this surface and his jockey's perseverance coupled with his courage helped him get up on the line over this c & d, five weeks ago. He was handed a tough four pound penalty but meets a similar field and is slightly better drawn here. The son of Muhtafal should give another honest performance and will be aided by a promising young apprentice.

Jockey: Anthony DELPECH - Trainer: Kumaran NAIDOO

DELICIOUS DAMOWIN is a long-time maiden but he made a bright local debut when equipped with blinkers over this trip at Scottsville, recently. He was 2nd best on that occasion but showed good speed and finished comfortably ahead of the 3rd placed runner. The Australian import will again wear the headge- ar and his speed will assist him in overcoming his wide barrier on his polytrack debut. The four-year old bay gelding should build on that run and he will go well in this line-up.

Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: Charles LAIRD

The three-year old STORMY ECLIPSE is above-average and his record of three wins in his last four runs proves that. The expensive son of Dynasty has a swift turn of foot and he thrives on this surface. He got up hard ridden to win his comeback run against stronger over the mile on this track last time but will strip much fitter. The Charles Laird inmate will relish this rise in distance and though he has a big mass to shoulder against older rivals, he still has plenty more to offer and can defy the odds.

Race 8: WAY OF ESCAPE(12)
Jockey: Calvin HABIB - Trainer: Mike DE KOCK

WAY OF ESCAPE had little go her way on debut over a mile on this surface recently, but she wasn't beaten far and would have come on considerably with that effort. The daughter of Greys Inn will relish tonight's step-up in distance and she benefits from a 4kgs apprentice allowance. She has another good draw and could make lots of improvement.

Race 4: MISS STINGRAY(10) (Each Way)
Jockey: Tristan GODDEN - Trainer: Therese MITCHLEY

MISS STINGRAY is shaping again and she ran on strongly for a close 2nd over a mile on this track, three weeks ago. This shorter trip suits her even better and the five-year old mare jumps from a good draw tonight. She runs well for this apprentice and should be competitive.
