Jockey: Alec FORBES - Trainer: Alistair GORDON
ROY'S GUARDIAN has produced promising form in her three runs and she handled the turn well when a close-up 2nd over the minimum trip at Greyville, four weeks ago. The concern is her ability to see out the seven furlongs but the manner in which she finished over six furlongs on debut was encouraging. The daughter of Rebel King has lots of room for improvement and she must be respected.
Race 3: RUN RHINO RUN(2) - TOP BET
Jockey: Piere STRYDOM - Trainer: Paul LAFFERTY
RUN RHINO RUN had two super-impressive victories over a mile on this track & would have strengthened during his 11 week absence. He looks to have a bright future but the son of Silvano has surprisingly changed stables. Nevertheless, he races fresh after the break and has huge improvement to come. He takes a steep rise in class but is way above-average and merits healthy respect. His good draw is always a plus on this tight track.
Race 4: LEGO HOUSE(3)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: Weiho MARWING
LEGO HOUSE is improving steadily with racing and he challenged strongly when a good 3rd in a competit- ive contest over ten furlongs at Greyville, three weeks ago. He should continue to improve and raced handy so this shorter trip could suit the son of Toreador who jumps from a good draw with Anton Marcus in the saddle.
Race 6: HUNTING OWL(1)
Jockey: Stuart RANDOLPH - Trainer: Duncan HOWELLS
HUNTING OWL is improving smartly and he won a good maiden contest over seven furlongs on this track in his penultimate start. He raised his game when finishing a close 3rd in progress company over 1300m last time and has plenty of scope for improvement. The mile should suit the son of Silvano and he should be very competitive, despite his big mass against older rivals. He has finally cracked a decent draw.
Jockey: Keagan DE MELO - Trainer: Lowan DENYSSCHEN
FORESTRY LAW enjoys this c & d and he has been facing considerably stronger. He had excuses for his last effort where he probably didn't see out the distance and wasn't equipped with blinkers. The five- year old gelding will enjoy this drop in distance and he should go close in this line-up. He jumps from pole position and drops in class.
