Race 4: PUNK ROCKER(7)
Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: Mike DE KOCK

The lightweight PUNK ROCKER is plagued with issues but he produced an eye-catching comeback run at the Vaal behind a subsequent feature winner and now returns to his former home province. The son of Trippi will be fitter today and he won on debut on this course. He has lots of class about him and he will be competitive in this field with just 52.5kgs on his back.

Race 6: COLCHIS(1) - TOP BET
Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: Glen KOTZEN

COLCHIS has shown ultra-consistent form over shorter and is overdue his maiden victory. He takes a leap in trip but his pedigree suggests that he should handle the stamina test and could prefer racing without blinkers. The son of Argonaut has experience on this track and it is really encouraging that Anton Marcus retains the ride.

Jockey: Stuart RANDOLPH - Trainer: Duncan HOWELLS

PATCHIT UP BABY is a smart three-year old who is improving with each run and she stays really well. She just failed to land a hat-trick when beaten a neck into 2nd over this c & d in yielding conditions last time and drops in class today. The daughter of Ideal World meets a few older rivals on worse weight terms but she still has lots of scope for improvement and can confirm the form.

Jockey: Sean CORMACK - Trainer: Paul LAFFERTY

This is a competitive end to the day's proceedings and once again an exciting finish is expected. The Paul Lafferty trained ZAHRA THE PRINCESS has improved nicely since going over ground and her career best effort came against male rivals over seven furlongs in her penultimate run. She tired late after setting the pace from a wide draw last time but is capable over the mile and is well drawn with Cormack in the irons. She should be competitive in this line-up.

Race 5: RIFF RAF(3) (Each Way)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: Jeff FREEDMAN

There are some quality sorts on display in this handicap and an exciting finish is on the cards. The three-year olds aren't favourably weighted but RIFF RAFF is way above-average and could be up to the task at hand. He has shown promise from day one and easily won his maiden over seven furlongs, second time out. He disappointed in a feature over a mile next time out but was rested for 22 weeks since and would have strengthened. This stiff six furlongs should suit the son of Royal Air Force in his comeba- ck run and Marcus knows him well. He should give a very good account of himself.
