Race 3: LADY LIBERTY(1)
Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: Tienie PRINSLOO

LADY LIBERTY has found her best form since relocating to Kimberley and she now has her third run after the layoff. The form of her penultimate run was franked last Monday and she only just failed to beat a male rival over this c & d last time out. The daughter of Carpocrates now faces her own sex and she should take a power of beating in an ordinary line-up.

Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: Tienie PRINSLOO

The Tienie Prinsloo yard holds a strong hand in this contest and riding engagements suggest that their bright young 'star' LATINO'S JET is the preference. Muzi Yeni's ride has always given the indication that he is above-average and despite taking a while to shed his maiden tag, he showed his class when cruising to victory on his handicap debut over a mile last Monday, despite a poor draw. That earned him the maximum eight pound penalty but he appears very progressive and still has lots more improveme- nt to come. The Latino Magic gelding handled nine furlongs well in his impressive maiden victory and he should take a power of beating over this extra distance.

Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: Tienie PRINSLOO

This is a low-key fillies and mares handicap so obvious caution must be exercised. However, the HEART OF WINTER formline over seven furlongs on 13/04 could dominate the finish and WHAT ABOUT MARIA gets the nod to reverse that form with her stable companion. The daughter of Judpot got going late in that run and should love today's extra furlong. Her wide draw isn't an issue as she seems to prefer coming from way back and she now meets the former on 7.5kgs better terms. She could represent good value in this field.

Jockey: Gunter WROGEMANN - Trainer: Dorrie SHAM

OVER ACHIEVER has come really well since arriving in this province and she was an easy maiden winner on her local debut over this c & d in late March. She followed up that run with a cracking handicap debut effort against male rivals. The daughter of A P Arrow was drawn wide but she challenged strongly and only went down three parts of a length to Jack Friday. The bay filly is better drawn here and she drops in class but more importantly, faces her own sex. She should take some beating in this line-up.

Race 8: THE QUEEN(2)
Jockey: Timothy PRETORIUS - Trainer: Coerie LENSLEY

THE QUEEN wasn't disgraced when racing with a slipped saddle over seven furlongs last Monday. However, she is much more effective over the minimum distance and she produced a strong finish to beat the ultra-consistent Atso Fields over this c & d in her penultimate start. She will now be cherry-ripe on her third run back from a break and should give another decent account of herself.
