Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: Gavin VAN ZYL

SCHILLACI is improving with each outing and he produced his career best effort, recently. He raced handy when caught late on the standside course over this trip that day and could prefer this shorter run-in. The Van Zyl inmate has experience on this track and he should continue to improve.

Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: Gavin VAN ZYL

The Diamond Tiara formline over this trip on 28/04 could stand up tall in this contest and the runner- up ARCHETYPE gets the nod to go one better. She was also drawn wide that day but finished strongly, beaten just under half a length at the wire. She was 2nd best on this track prior to that but that experience of this inside circuit will stand her in good stead and she clearly has more improvement to come. The daughter of Argonaut is drawn wide but she should be finishing well.

Jockey: Raymond DANIELSON - Trainer: Sean TARRY

HALVE THE DEFICIT is threatening his overdue next career win and he places his unbeaten c & d record on the line today. He takes on some quality rivals but has done really well since his lengthy layoff and gets the nod. He produced a decent last performance in a Grade 1 over ten furlongs and is well drawn. He has one length to find on TELLINA on the Captain America run in his penultimate outing but this shorter run-in could make all the difference and he is expected to reverse the form.

Jockey: Gavin LERENA - Trainer: Roy MAGNER

The older horses in this contest are ordinary sorts and are drawn wide so the juveniles could make their good draws count. WINDINMYHAIR made late progress on her fair debut over the minimum trip on this course and she should enjoy this extra furlong. She is draw at barrier 2 and Gavin Lerena gets the mount on the Magner inmate.

Jockey: Marco V/RENSBURG - Trainer: Stanley FERREIRA

This is an extremely competitive fillies and mares handicap but the value could lie with the five-year old mare SPRING BLASTER. She has performed well over ground in recent efforts and ran on well for 3rd behind BRIGHT BRONTE over 1700m in her penultimate outing. She wasn't beaten far against male rivals over ten furlongs last time & meets the latter on 4.5kgs better terms for a 3.80 lengths deficit. This daughter of Jet Master has won on this track and she can stake a serious claim.
