Magic Tips Best Bets

Jockey: Piere STRYDOM - Trainer: Lucky HOUDALAKIS

ALLEGORICAL had two useful efforts in March and the form of her last run was franked when the 3rd placed finisher won subsequently. This daughter of Oracy built on her fair debut when she ran on well for a close 4th over this trip in yielding conditions that day, despite having a poor start. She should continue to improve with racing and is a confident first choice from the raced runners. She had her debut on this track and that experience will stand her in good stead today.

Jockey: Piere STRYDOM - Trainer: Sean TARRY

MALAK EL MOOLOOK is a decent type who was outrun late into 2nd from a wide draw over 1450m on the inside course, four weeks ago. He is equally effective down the straight so the switch to this track shouldn't be an issue and the Tarry inmate still has lots more progress to make. He meets some decent sorts but is the horse to beat with Strydom retaining the ride.

Jockey: Anthony DELPECH - Trainer: Mike DE KOCK

SHARP PRINCESS was desperately unlucky not to have won her debut over this c & d, nine days ago. The well-related daughter of Dynasty showed lots of speed on that occasion but ducked sharply outwards at a crucial stage and that enabled her conqueror to grab her close to the line. There is every chance of her repeating that mishap but the run would have brought her on nicely and she now gets the top class stable jockey. She could atone for that debut defeat.

Race 7: DEO JUVENTE(4)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: Geoff WOODRUFF

DEO JUVENTE has proven that he is above-average and the well-related son of Trippi still has plenty more to come. He stayed on for a decent 4th in a competitive line-up over this c & d in his comeback run recently and should build on that progress. His yard has been quiet for some time now but the bay gelding gets visiting jockey Anton Marcus in the irons and could change that stat. He faces only his own age group for the first time.

Race 9: NOBLE STAR(10) (Each Way)
Jockey: Juan-Paul v.d.MERWE - Trainer: Lucky HOUDALAKIS

This is an extremely competitive handicap but there could be a real betting proposition in the form of the lightly weighted NOBLE STAR. This son of Kahal enjoys racing on this long run-in and he is steadily dropping in ratings. He holds a few of today's rivals safe on the Majestic Bay performance over 1700m on this track and has a solid c & d record. The Lucky Houdalakis inmate is well drawn and his best recent effort came with this jockey aboard.
