Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: WOW HOLIDAY(12)
Jockey: Anthony DELPECH - Trainer: Mike DE KOCK

WOW HOLIDAY was drawn unfavourably but he made an exciting debut over this trip at Scottsville, seven days ago. The imported brown colt was understandably green but he stayed on strongly for a close 3rd, beaten just over one length at the line. That experience would have brought him on considerably and his conditioner is obviously pleased with his progress. The De Kock inmate tries the polytrack from a good draw and should make natural improvement.

Race 2: TIMEOUS(10)
Jockey: Stuart RANDOLPH - Trainer: Pat LUNN

TIMEOUS is well-related and she produced a smart debut at long-odds over this c & d, four weeks ago, despite being slow into stride. The daughter of Var was understandably green but she ran on well for 2nd behind a highly rated sort and would have come on appreciably from the experience. She is better drawn now but needs to jump on terms.

Race 3: BESPOKEN(10)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: Johan Janse v/Vuuren

BESPOKEN is improving with each outing and this surface could suit the speedy daughter of Oracy's running style. She tired late over the stiff six furlongs at Scottsville last time but will again have the services of Anton Marcus and should continue to progress. She placed on her debut in open company and should go very close against some ordinary older rivals.

Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: G/K ANTHONY

WILD NAMAQUA has shown plenty of promise but the manner in which he tired over the final furlong in his last seven furlong event, has obviously convinced Anton Marcus that the son of Black Minnaloushe could be most effective when sprinting. His conditioner has heeded the call and the chestnut gelding drops to six furlongs over which he has produced his career best performances. He enjoys racing on this track and should go very close.

Race 6: VAVASOUR(10) (Each Way)
Jockey: S'manga KHUMALO - Trainer: Sean TARRY

VAVASOUR had two shocking attempts on the Highveld but is a totally different proposition on this surface and his previous form proves it. He won back-to-back efforts on this track late last year and has recently dropped nicely in the ratings. The Tarry inmate is well drawn on his return to this province and he could make big improvement.
