Race 1: MOONBLANCHED(8)
Race 2: CAVALLINO(5)
Race 3: MORE THAN GRAND(6)
Race 5: VICTORIOUS JAY(10)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: HAPPY AVENUE(4)
Jockey: MJ BYLEVELD - Trainer: Vaughan MARSHALL

HAPPY AVENUE tired late in open company over six furlongs last time and she will prefer this minimum trip today. She produced her career best effort when running on for a close 4th over this c & d in her penultimate run and now has her third run after the layoff. The Marshall inmate could enjoy being equipped with blinkers and she has lots of improvement to come.

Race 4: JAM TART(1) - TOP BET
Jockey: Bernard FAYD'HERBE - Trainer: Joey RAMSDEN

JAM TART was coming along the right way before being given a 24 week break. She may have suffered a setback but her conditioner is obviously pleased with her progress and she would have strengthened. She meets ordinary rivals and should go close in her comeback run.

Race 5: HARRY DA WHEELS(3)
Jockey: Aldo DOMEYER - Trainer: Mike BASS

HARRY DA WHEELS seems to have overcome his issues and he produced a career best effort when running on for 2nd over this c & d, six weeks ago. The Bass inmate now has his peak run and he should continue to progress. There are a few natural pacesetters and the likely strong gallop will suit the son of Right Approach.

Race 6: THREE BLUE CRANE(11)
Jockey: MJ BYLEVELD - Trainer: Vaughan MARSHALL

THREE BLUE CRANES has bounced back to form since being equipped with blinkers and she won a very good race over seven furlongs under a big mass, four weeks ago. She escaped with the minimum two pound penalty and is equally effective over this shorter trip. The grey filly should have finished much closer to SHAMSIYA over this c & d in her penultimate outing but she is 1kg better off with the latter and could exact revenge.

VALUE BET FOR TODAY:

Race 7: MUSICAL MAN(11) (Each Way)
Jockey: Corne ORFFER - Trainer: Piet STEYN

MUSICAL MAN is often thereabouts and versatile as he showed with a fair last display over six furlongs However, the son of Horse Chestnut seems to prefer the mile nowadays and he has some solid recent form over this distance. His wide draw will prove tricky but he should give another honest performance.
