Race 4: FLEETFOX(1)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 2: BESPOKEN(2)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: Johan Janse v/Vuuren

BESPOKEN made the expected improvement on her local debut over seven furlongs second time out, but she should have clearly finished much closer. The Gauteng raider quickened smartly that day but her jockey's saddle slipped and she was overhauled in the closing stages. She obviously has decent potential and should continue to improve with racing. The daughter of Oracy could enjoy this tough six furlongs she can make amends with Anton Marcus in the saddle.

Race 3: MASKED GIRL(1)
Jockey: Sean CORMACK - Trainer: Dennis DRIER

The c & d formline behind Ivanovich on 28/04 could dominate the outcome of this maiden event and the Drier inmate MASKED GIRL could be rewarded for consistency. She was equipped with blinkers for the first time when she ran on late for 2nd that day and she will again wear the headgear. The daughter of Overlord is drawn midfield and she can make amends.

Jockey: Sean CORMACK - Trainer: Dennis DRIER

The Drier team could again be at it here and FLEETFOX is a confident first selection. The Silvano gelding has some issues but he has shown promising form and was outrun late over a mile on the poly on his local debut, ten weeks ago. The former Cape resident has met strong opposition in the past and the break and switch to the grass could make a real difference today. Furthermore, the seven furlongs will be right up his alley and he is expected to take a power of beating from his good draw.

Race 7: EASY GAME(3)
Jockey: Gavin LERENA - Trainer: Michael AZZIE

EASY GAME is plagued by issues but she is talented and showed her true potential when she led through- out to beat male rivals over this minimum trip on the Highveld in her comeback run, four weeks ago. Just for good measure the Mike Azzie inmate conceded chunks of weight to her rivals that day. She will strip much fitter now and still has plenty of room for improvement. The speedy daughter of Var should handle the rise in class and she can follow-up.

Race 5: TIGER TIGER(4) (Each Way)
Jockey: Donovan DILLON - Trainer: Neil BRUSS

TIGER TIGER is a hard-knocking handicapper who was far from disgraced on his local debut in a Grade 2 event, recently. The Cape visitor is versatile and had some productive form in similar handicaps prior to that. He would have benefitted from that first local outing and interestingly has now changed stables. This is the ideal event for him to show his quality and the son of Tiger Dance jumps from pole position on his track debut.
