Race 2: AL AZRAQ(1)
Race 8: DALALAAT(8)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Jockey: Gavin LERENA - Trainer: Stanley FERREIRA

TRIPADVISOR was unfancied when she produced a decent debut over five furlongs on this track, recently. The well-related daughter of Trippi was 2nd best that day but she stayed on nicely at the finish and should build on the effort. She merits healthy respect with red-hot jockey Gavin Lerena in the irons.

Race 2: DASPOORT(9)
Jockey: Karl ZECHNER - Trainer: Leon ERASMUS

DASPOORT is improving with each outing and he was outrun late into 2nd over five furlongs on this course, four weeks ago. That form hasn't amounted to much which is a definite worry, but the A P Answer gelding should continue to improve and he still deserves the utmost respect.

Jockey: Raymond DANIELSON - Trainer: Michael AZZIE

The very expensive purchase RACING FREE found lots of betting support and only inexperience cost him when he was outrun into 2nd on his smart debut over this c & d, two weeks ago. Still, he finished almost four lengths in front of the 3rd placed runner MOVIE MAN that day and should have considerable improvement to come. The Silvano colt should take some beating for his in-form yard. Piere Strydom has formed a decent relationship with the consistent latter but the exacta spot seems most realistic for the Mogok gelding.

Race 7: KINGS V(6)
Jockey: Gavin LERENA - Trainer: Wallace TOLMAY

This is a competitive low-key fillies and mares handicap but the older runners could have a big say at the weights. KINGS V is a c & d specialist and she seldom runs a bad race. She should have finished closer against stronger over this c & d in her penultimate outing and it is encouraging that Gavin Lerena retains the ride. The four-year old filly will enjoy the likely strong pace and she should be finishing her race well.

Race 9: PRESCIENT(7) (Each Way)
Jockey: Juan-Paul v.d.MERWE - Trainer: Barend BOTES

There could be great value about PRESCIENT in this low-key fillies and mares handicap. The daughter of Count Dubois didn't enjoy the sand last time and she was having her second run inside five days. The former Cape resident showed what she is capable of when she ran on strongly for a close 4th over 1160m in her penultimate run. That effort indicated that she could relish today's extra furlong and the four year old filly can bounce back to form on the grass.
