Race 4: MASTERLY(1)
Race 6: LA REBEL(14)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Jockey: Gift FUNEKA - Trainer: Yvette BREMNER

ROCKABELLA is improving with each run and she put up a pleasing penultimate outing on this surface. The daughter of Rock Of Rochelle jumped slowly but ran on strongly for a close 3rd over five furlongs, that day. She showed a different side to her game when jumping on terms and displaying plenty of speed before being caught late in a titanic three-way struggle with older rivals on the grass, next time out. This extra furlong on this surface will suit her perfectly and she should go very close for her in-form combination.

Race 3: SPEKBOOM(2)
Jockey: Greg CHEYNE - Trainer: Alan GREEFF

SPEKBOOM was below-par on the grass last time but produced two solid efforts on this surface, prior to that. He made late headway to finish a fair 4th over a similar distance on this track in his penultim- ate outing and can stake a serious claim from a good draw today. The form of his latest run was frank- ed by the runner-up and the Greeff inmate should bounce back.

Jockey: Andrew FORTUNE - Trainer: Jacques STRYDOM

GOGETTHESHERIFF has a brilliant polytrack record and he is best in on official ratings in this non black affair. The Go Deputy gelding wasn't his normal slow starting self when he produced a below-par last run on the grass but he will be an entirely different proposition on this surface today. He is yet to win beyond a mile but Fortune will get the best out of the chestnut gelding who should take a power of beating, if handling this extra ground.

Race 8: O JALLAD(2)
Jockey: Gift FUNEKA - Trainer: Yvette BREMNER

O JALLAD was outclassed against considerably stronger last time but he drops to a more suitable level and he holds a solid c & d record. The Bremner inmate had cracking polytrack credentials prior to that and he should quickly bounce back to form. The speedy REBEL HOUSE is in very good form and he has finally cracked a fair barrier position. Nevertheless, he ran his rivals off their feet over 1300m on this track last Friday and is still a major threat despite the seven pound hike. The chestnut gelding will have little issues with this slightly shorter trip and he should handle the rise in class.

Race 4: VINSANTO(9) (Each Way)
Jockey: Karl ZECHNER - Trainer: Dorrie SHAM

VINSANTO made a smart winning local debut when he ran on well to beat a subsequent winner over a mile in the maidens on the grass, four weeks ago. The extremely well-related bay gelding should strip fitter and he is obviously enjoying his life in this province. He is bred to love the ten furlongs and the son of Silvano could be much higher than the handicapper's early assessment of him. He should be very competitive with his low mass of 52.5kgs.
