Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 3: JUDICIAL(2)
Jockey: Karl ZECHNER - Trainer: Tyrone ZACKEY

JUDICIAL is a classy sort who made improvement when he ran on late to be 2nd best in a Grade 3 over this c & d, four weeks ago. He has some work to do at the weights today but takes a big drop in class and will be cherry-ripe on his third run back from a break. The likely sedate gallop won't suit him but he loves this longer run-in and should be competitive.

Jockey: Donavan MANSOUR - Trainer: Michael AZZIE

GALLILEE is clearly above-average as she has now racked up 3 wins from 4 career efforts. Her latest victory though, was her most impressive. The Mike Azzie trained daughter of Silvano was returning from a 20 week absence and she probably struck the front too early but showed all of her class to fight back and beat a decent field over this trip. She was surprisingly only upped four pounds for the win and will strip fitter now. The bay filly meets a similar line-up and she has lots more to offer.

Race 7: PACIFIC G(2)
Jockey: Gavin LERENA - Trainer: Wallace TOLMAY

PACIFIC G took a while to shed his maiden tag but his post maiden form has been decent and he ran on nicely for 2nd over this trip at the Vaal last time, despite suffering a bump early on in the contest. The son of Dynasty was rightly handed a two pound penalty but he is at home in this company and his yard is in good form. He jumps from a handy draw and should go very well in this field.

Race 8: ENOUGH SAID(6)
Jockey: Randall SIMONS - Trainer: Stuart PETTIGREW

ENOUGH SAID went off at huge odds but produced a smart winning debut over seven furlongs on this track four weeks ago. She produced a strong finish on that occasion and she should enjoy the extra furlong. The daughter of Tiger Dance could be much better than her current rating and she merits respect from a handy draw.

Jockey: Piere STRYDOM - Trainer: Gavin VAN ZYL

RICHIETHELIONHEART was rested after his poor last sprint but he showed some ability with a decent debut and would have benefitted from the break. His pedigree suggests that he will relish the step-up to the mile and he could bounce back to best form. He jumps from a good draw and Strydom gets the ride.
