Jockey: Gavin LERENA - Trainer: Dominic ZAKI

PROSPECT STRIKE has produced two high class displays and he takes a huge drop in class on his return to the Highveld. He won his debut by over a dozen lengths but was even more impressive when running on again at the finish of a Grade 1 at Scottsville over six furlongs, second time out. The fourth placed finisher boosted that form with an effortless subsequent victory and this son of Toreador has huge room for improvement. He should relish this extra furlong on the long run-in and will take a power of beating with a hungry Gavin Lerena in the irons.

Jockey: Wesley MARWING - Trainer: Stuart PETTIGREW

This is a competitive and intriguing handicap over ten furlongs that pits some smart, improving three- year olds with hefty masses, against their older counterparts. The three-year old BATTLE IN SEATTLE has dropped to a competitive mark in recent outings and he has improved his formline. He has also enjoyed stepping up in distance and he ran on well for 3rd behind a decent type over nine furlongs on this track in his penultimate start. The son of Sail From Seattle stayed on strongly for a close 3rd under a big mass last time out despite racing wide and he should have little issues with this extra furlong. He is drawn in midfield.

Jockey: Gavin LERENA - Trainer: Roy MAGNER

The top weight GREASEPAINT was rewarded for some useful form as he won a very good contest over this c & d under a strong ride, three weeks ago. That earned him a three pound penalty but he takes on a similar field today and has strong claims of following up.

Race 9: CALL KELLY(1)
Jockey: Andrew FORTUNE - Trainer: St John GRAY

This is an extremely competitive final event but the consistent top weight CALL KELLY could follow-up on his recent c & d win. The St John Gray inmate is in the form of his life and he ran on well to beat a similar field last time. That earned him a hefty five pound penalty but he is still well in at the weights with a few of the principle contenders and merits huge respect with top heavyweight jockey Andrew Fortune in the irons.

Race 5: CATCH A THIEF(14) (Each Way)
Jockey: Francois NAUDE - Trainer: George SCOTT

The five-year old mare CATCH A THIEF prefers racing around the turn and she has improved her formline in recent outings. She is c & d suited and should be competitive with another low mass of 52.5kgs and a good draw. The three-year old EINA has shown smart form to date and she beat subsequent winners in the maiden ranks over this trip on the inside course in her penultimate start. She followed up that run with a respectable handicap debut when running on late behind a subsequent winner, four weeks ago.
