Race 1: PRIDE IN BATTLE(4)
Race 5: STAVINSKY(4)
Race 6: SON OF APPROVAL(8)
Race 8: BEAUTIFUL DAWN(3)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: SPURWING SUMMER(1)
Jockey: Andrew FORTUNE - Trainer: St John GRAY

SPURWING SUMMER has had enough chances but she is holding her form extremely well and can get it right on her sand debut today. She is distance suited and will get the in-form services of Andrew Fortune to guide her.

Race 3: GUEST LODGE(11) - TOP BET
Jockey: Gavin LERENA - Trainer: Corne SPIES

GUEST LODGE enjoys the sand and handles her races very well. She is no stranger to racing in open company, having made late progress for 4th over five furlongs, two weeks ago. The daughter of Ashaawes has placed over a mile so this trip will be no issue and the juvenile filly should go very close from pole position.

Race 4: USISI(2)
Jockey: Gavin LERENA - Trainer: Roy MAGNER

USISI was rewarded for consistency when she produced a strong finish to nab the speedy Regal Rose close to home over this distance on the turf in her comeback run, three weeks ago. Her sand rating proves that she is even better on this surface and the daughter of Rock Of Gibraltar will be fitter now. She does face male rivals with a big mass but still merits huge claims with Gavin Lerena retaini- ng the ride.

Race 5: ACROSS THE ICE(3)
Jockey: Raymond DANIELSON - Trainer: Sean TARRY

ACROSS THE ICE continues to hold his sand form extremely well, despite not winning for over a year. The Tarry inmate may have found the minimum trip a little sharp for him when 4th behind TRIP TEASE last time but just as his record suggests, he will be an entirely different proposition over this c & d today. The eight-year old gelding jumps from pole position and he has decent claims in this field.

VALUE BET FOR TODAY:

Race 7: PERFECT END(8) (Each Way)
Jockey: Raymond DANIELSON - Trainer: Sean TARRY

There should be a good pace in this competitive handicap and that could play into the hands of the recent maiden winner PERFECT END. The imported son of Encosta De Lago has problems but he clearly relished the sand when he produced a strong finish to win his maiden over this c & d, three weeks ago. He takes a considerable leap in class but has plenty more improvement to offer on this surface and he jumps from pole position. The Tarry inmate could still be ahead of the handicapper.
