Race 2: JUSTASH(9) - TOP BET
Jockey: Gavin LERENA - Trainer: Roy MAGNER

JUSTASH has shown smart form on the sand and Gavin Lerena retains the ride on the Ashaawes colt. All three of his solid sand performances have come over five furlongs but he did stay on for 3rd last time and he should be competitive from his fair barrier position.

Jockey: Piere STRYDOM - Trainer: Louis GOOSEN

WISHFUL HEART was disappointing when making the trip to Kimberley recently but he showed his true potential with a solid penultimate performance over this c & d against stronger. He was outrun late on that occasion and has a good record with Strydom up. The obvious worry is whether he has recovered from the journey.

Race 6: LADY CASEY(4)
Jockey: Piere STRYDOM - Trainer: Stephen MOFFATT

LADY CASEY was below-par last time but she is very capable on her day and loves the sand. She produced a cracking feature effort the last time she raced over this c & d and Strydom now gets the ride from a handy draw. The daughter of Announce should be competitive in this line-up.

Race 7: TO YOU(2)
Jockey: Anthony DELPECH - Trainer: Mike DE KOCK

TO YOU is effective on both local surfaces and her recent form has been solid. She stayed on for 3rd in her comeback run over this trip on the grass last time and should strip fitter. Unfortunately, the daughter of Elusive Quality needs to overcome another wide draw but she has good scope for improvement and still merits healthy respect. She romped to her maiden victory on this surface.

Race 3: GUEST LODGE(6) (Each Way)
Jockey: Ryan MUNGER - Trainer: Corne SPIES

GUEST LODGE produced her career best effort over this c & d three runs back and she is better than her last two runs suggest. She meets a competitive field but has an obvious affinity for this surface and must be included. Her fellow juvenile SARAABA from the Mike de Kock yard had two useful grass sprints before fluffing her lines badly in yielding conditions over seven furlongs next time out.
