Race 1: BOLD ASPEN(1)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: PSYCHO SYD(2)
Jockey: Domeyer A - Trainer: Marshall V H

PSYCHO SYD is well-bred and he made good improvement when outrun late into 2nd over this c & d, four weeks ago. He should continue to improve with racing and the lightly raced Rebel King colt is a big threat in a competitive field. BARITONE made an eye-catching debut over the minimum distance at long odds three weeks ago. The equally well-bred son of Trippi was outpaced in the early stages of that event but ran on well for 4th in heavy conditions. That effort suggested that he could prefer this extra furlong and will make the experience count.

Race 2: ENTRECHAT(4)
Jockey: Fayd'Herbe B - Trainer: Snaith J S

ENTRECHAT quickly bounced back to form when she tried the extra furlong, two weeks ago. She showed plenty of speed and fought back gamely to finish a close 3rd over this c & d in heavy conditions. The daughter of Captain Al should continue to progress and she should be involved in the finish.

Jockey: Cheyne G - Trainer: Snaith J S

ALPHA PEGASI is a smart type who is best in on official merit ratings in this graduation contest. The Snaith inmate has met some strong opposition along the way and though he has mostly been restricted to sprinting, he had one cracking effort over this c & d under a big mass at handicap level. He is in good form and finished strongly for a close 3rd behind a quality sort in heavy conditions over six furlongs, two weeks ago. He is a representative of last season's champion sire, Captain Al and merits healthy respect in this field.

HARRY LIME is plagued with injuries but the Var colt showed top potential as a juvenile and his conditioner's decision to race him sparingly last season, could be rewarded. The Snaith inmate is a fast sort who has met strong opposition and he is ideally c & d suited. His trainer has found the ideal race for his comeback run as the bay colt is best in at the weights.

Race 8: BLUE EYED BOY(4)
May B - Trainer: Reeves P D

BLUE EYED BOY didn't shape over a mile in his first run around the turn and quickly reverts to sprinting. He had two promising runs over this c & d, the latest being a good 3rd behind a subsequent winner and he has decent scope for improvement. The Tiger Dance gelding will benefit from a 4kgs apprentice allowance and he should be competitive.
