Magic Tips Best Bets

Jockey: Morgenrood B - Trainer: Puller G R

AUDITORIUM was given a short break after a disappointing second run in soft conditions but that form has worked out extremely well. The Glen Puller inmate produced a cracking debut over this c & d in his penultimate start and would have strengthened during the break. He should make improvement and merits healthy respect for his in-form yard.

Jockey: Fayd'Herbe B - Trainer: Snaith J S

READY TO ATTACK has loads of class about him and that was evident when the then maiden, thrashed some quality winners in a feature over 1500m as a juvenile, eight weeks ago. He already appears to be one of the stable's three-year old stars for the summer and the imported colt would have strengthened during his absence. His conditioner has thrown him into the deep-end on his handicap debut but the More Than Ready colt could be equal to the task. Admittedly, he prefers further but has a smart turn of foot and races fresh. He won't be pushed hard but is clearly one to follow during the Cape summer.

Jockey: Orffer C - Trainer: Crawford B

The classy and fast improving ZUBBADUBBADOO made it four consecutive victories when he got up late to deny the speedy CAPTAIN BLACKWATER over this c & d in heavy conditions in his comeback run, four weeks ago. The Jay Peg gelding may have escaped with just a three pound penalty and the 3rd placed finisher gave that form plenty of respectability with a subsequent victory. This four-year old gelding will strip fitter and clearly has more to come this campaign. He meets the runner-up on 1.5kgs worse terms but should still take a power of beating.

Race 7: NTOMBE(1)
Jockey: Andrews A - Trainer: Woodruff G V

NTOMBE had too much to do at the weights in a feature over this c & d in heavy conditions last time but she drops to a more suitable level today and is a big contender. She beat a competitive field for her first local victory in her penultimate outing and merits healthy respect today.

Race 4: ARCHIE(4)
Jockey: Neisius K - Trainer: Sands A E

The Cape Rebel formline could feature prominently in the final outcome and ARCHIE is coming along the right way and gets the nod to turn things around. The Eric Sands inmate has improved immensely since being equipped with blinkers. He has finished close-up in his last two outings, the latest after having to ease at a crucial stage. The Archipenko gelding has more scope for improvement than a few of his rivals and Karl Neisius retains the ride. This shorter trip could be right up the four-year olds alley.
