The #DolFANarmy were out in full force as the Sunfoil Dolphins played host to the Nashua Mobile Cape Cobras last Friday night. Although the Dolphins' run chase was smothered by a sublime bowling performance from the visitors, it didn't dampen the mood of the purple-clad supporters who remained in good spirits cheering the team on.
If you were down at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead on Friday night, you'd definitely have seen and heard the #DolFANarmy. Seated on the grass bank below the East Stand, we cheered, sang and danced; willing the home side on. The Dolphins looked on course for the win after restricting the Cobras for 235-8, however, an excellent bowling display by the men from Cape Town stifled the hosts' chase.
Incidentally, Friday night's match also coincided with the opening of Hollywodbets' first stand-alone food and beverage outlet. The Bunny Bar, which is located at the North Gate entrance of the stadium serves a fine selection of bunnies, curries, rotis, finger snacks and a host of different beverages. The bar was opened to the public on the previous day and did a roaring trade, supplying office workers from the surrounding buildings with their favourite Durban dishes.
Come down and visit the Bunny Bar next time you're in the area. It'll be open from 10:00 - 18:00 every day, although access will be restricted on match days.
