Magic Tips Best Bets

Top Bet
Jockey: Aldo DOMEYER - Trainer: Adam MARCUS

BOOMTOWN BELTER was never dangerous over six furlongs last time but she had smart earlier form over this distance. She ran on well for a good 3rd over this c & d at a higher level in her penultimate run and can quickly bounce back to form. The likely strong pace will suit her well.

Race 3: WESKUS KLONG(7)Jockey: Aldo DOMEYER - Trainer: Willem A NEL

Just seven runners go to post for this intriguing maiden contest and a form reversal could be on the cards. The well-related son of Trippi, WESKUS KLONG had a fair debut when making late progress over this c & d, three weeks ago. He drifted in the betting market that day, suggesting he wasn't fully wound up and the Andre Nel inmate should make natural improvement. He has exactly three lengths to find with the runner-up and more experienced CASTLEWOOD but can make serious improvement, particularly if he jumps on terms.

Race 4: LEISURE TRIP(11)
Jockey: Also DOMEYER - Trainer: Willem A NEL

LEISURE TRIP drifted in the betting exchanges but still produced a high-class debut in a big field over this c & d, five weeks ago. She ran on strongly late for 2nd, beaten just over one length at the line and should have plenty more to offer.

Jockey: Grant BEHR - Trainer: Dean KANNEMEYER

PLAYBOY BUDDY quickly got her career back on track when she ran on strongly for a close 2nd over this c & d, two weeks ago. She was in turn, just a neck in front of GARDEN TEA PARTY that day and the pair should dominate proceedings here. The top selection meets the latter on identical weight terms but she gets the narrow first verdict.

Jockey: MJ BYLEVELD - Trainer: Glen PULLER

POWER TO PLEASE may have found the mile too far for him last time but he continues to drop in the ratings and more importantly, races over his best distance today. He meets a similar line-up but from a good draw and he can upset with a stronger jockey in the saddle.
