Race 3: GAINS TAX(4)
Jockey: Weichong MARWING - Trainer: Alec LAIRD

GAINS TAX is versatile and she produced a solid last effort over ten furlongs. She was below-par in her first try down this straight prior to that but that experience would have brought her on. She meets another competitive line-up and has good claims for her red-hot yard.

Race 5: FORTITUDE(6)
Jockey:  Gavin LERENA - Trainer: Lucky HOUDALAKIS

FORTITUDE has also reached a competitive mark in her rating and she made good improvement over seven furlongs at a slightly higher level, two weeks ago. She finished just under half a length ahead of the 3rd placed runner CHINA BEACH that day and though only 0.5kg to the good, the daughter of Stronghold will prefer this extra furlong and she loves racing on this track.

Jockey: Callan MURRAY - Trainer: Michael AZZIE

POLLY WOLLY DOODLE had excuses for her disappointing last run over ten furlongs but that was in a quality field and the formline could be worth following. She had some decent prior form, the pick of which was her good 3rd behind the smart Noor over this distance, second time out. The Mike Azzie inmate has plenty of scope and she may have been generously docked three pounds in her rating. She should be a major contender in this line-up.

Race 7: GUN FIGHTER(1)
Jockey: Gavin LERENA - Trainer: Paul PETER

GUN FIGHTER produced a classy last winning display over this c & d recently. He was slow into stride that day but finished strongly to win going away and has strong claims once more, despite the resultant five-pound penalty. The Paul Peter inmate should easily handle the rise in class.

Race 4: OREO SHAKE(4)
Jockey: Andrew FORTUNE - Trainer: Justin SNAITH

OREO SHAKE had excuses for his below-par last run but the eight-week break would have helped his cause and he should bounce back to form. The Justin Snaith inmate posted an eye-catching local debut run at this level in his penultimate outing and he is suited to the mile.
