Race 3: LINE BREAK(2)
Jockey: Grant VAN NIEKERK - Trainer: Mike BASS

LINE BREAK has seldom been beaten far at the highest level and he should have finished closer in a Grade 1 in his comeback run, three weeks ago. He will strip much fitter now and is even better over this extra furlong. Furthermore, he dips in class and is well treated on official ratings.

Top Bet
Jockey: Aldo DOMEYER - Trainer: Willem A NEL

HOIST THE MAST is a fast improving sprinter with solid recent form. She crushed her maiden rivals in her penultimate outing and then tried really hard when runner-up in a quality handicap field on Met Day. The daughter of Querari was penalized a further two pounds for that last effort but she drops in class and has plenty more to offer. She deservedly shoulders a big mass in this field but could still take a power of beating and is one worth following.

Race 5: FEAR NOT(3)
Jockey: Aldo DOMEYER - Trainer: Adam MARCUS

FEAR NOT has been targeted for this particular contest for a while now and her preparation has gone extremely well. She has been consistent at a high level and only tired late in a Grade 1 behind Inara over a mile, four weeks ago. This shorter trip and today's quality of opposition suits her perfectly and the daughter of Ideal World is a huge contender.

Race 7: NIGHT TRIP(2)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: Mike BASS

NIGHT TRIP had excuses but in all likelihood was outclassed in the Grade 1 Queen's Plate over this c & d, six weeks ago. He is much better treated at this level though and is best in on official ratings. Visiting jockey Anton Marcus has struck up a fine partnership with the Trippi gelding who is at his best over this distance. The pair should go very close despite the wide draw.

Race 8: VITORIA(8)
Jockey: Corne ORFFER - Trainer: Neil BRUSS

VITORIA continues to plummet in the ratings and she made some improvement when equipped with blinkers in a decent field over this c & d on Met Day. The daughter of Go Deputy made steady progress on that occasion and though she has just over three lengths to find on the runner-up DEEP SECRET, the top rating is now 4.5kgs to the good and she can certainly build on that recent progress. She will again wear the headgear.
