Top Bet
Race 1: NASMYTH(10)
Jockey: Callan MURRAY - Trainer: Alec LAIRD
NASMYTH
was quietly fancied when she made an exciting debut over five furlongs on this course, four weeks ago. She was slightly slow into stride but ran on strongly for 2nd behind subsequent winner Movie Show despite hanging in the closing stages. That first experience would have brought the Alec Laird inmate on smartly and she should relish this extra furlong. She jumps from a similar draw.

NASMYTH(10)

Race 2: DUZI MOON(2)
Jockey: Andrew FORTUNE - Trainer: Geoff WOODRUFF

DUZI MOON continues to hold his form strongly and he is overdue his maiden win. He tried hard when a close 2nd despite casting a shoe on the standside course, recently. The Woodruff charge loves racing on this tight circuit and he still has decent scope for improvement. He gets the expert services of well-rested top jockey Andrew Fortune and the pair should be very tough to beat.

DUZI MOON(2)

Race 3: WINNING SISTER(1)
Jockey: Chase MAUJEAN - Trainer: Joe SOMA

This is an intriguing contest and some caution is advised. WINNING SISTER was deservedly rested but only after she quickly put a shocking penultimate display behind her with an improved run, a mere seven days later. She has produced some quality performances and her pace always gives her a big chance on this tight circuit. The daughter of Dynasty represents a red-hot stable and she should be very competitive.

WINNING SISTER(1)

Race 6: MIRACLE BUREAU(1)
Jockey: Chase MAUJEAN - Trainer: Joe SOMA

MIRACLE BUREAU rises in class after shedding his maiden tag recently but he looks progressive and could still be ahead of the handicapper. The lightly raced son of Trippi benefitted from the break and he produced two smart comeback runs, the latest being when he quickened smartly to win from a poor draw over this c & d, three weeks ago. The form of his solid penultimate start was franked when one of his conqueror's Rafeef won on his handicap debut next time out. This three-year-old gelding has obvious room for improvement.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:

Race 5: SHEIK'S DIAMOND(9)
Jockey: Sherman BROWN - Trainer: Leon ERASMUS

SHEIK'S DIAMOND is above-average and she impressed with two decent comeback runs after a lengthy 29-week absence. She had little go her way but still only tired late from a poor draw over this c & d in a similar field, three weeks ago. She was dropped further in the ratings and crucially jumps from a good draw on her peak outing. The daughter of The Sheik should give a good account of herself.
