Hollywoodbets and Sunfoil Dolphins team up to renovate Umlazi Cricket Club in honour of Nelson Mandela Day
This Mandela day a group of Hollywoodbets team members and Sunfoil Dolphins staff and players got together at Umlazi Cricket Club (UCC). Their goal was to renovate the clubhouse and turn it into a top-class facility. They did this by working together to give it a brand new coat of paint inside and out, and by installing a new kitchen sink and counter as well as a water tank and lights.
Over 80 people from the two teams worked together leaving the clubhouse in great shape! UCC staff members were thrilled with their newly renovated facilities.
Star Bar and Café did their part by feeding all of the hungry workers at the end of the day and Spur and Coo-ee also came on board, feeding over 1 000 of the local school’s pupils during their break time.
With such a great response from Team Support this year we are already looking forward to next year’s Mandela Day! This was the perfect way to celebrate Madiba’s memory.
Jerry Sikhosana’s Winter Games
Our brand ambassador Jerry Sikhosana also did his part by hosting the Winer Games tournament for young soccer players at the sports field where he played growing up. The youngsters had a great time and many of them were exposed to a proper tournament for the very first time. The winning teams won soccer kit and training gear and talent scouts also came out to spot upcoming talent during the tournament. The final was played on Saturday the 16th of July in honour of the upcoming Nelson Mandela Day. Over 48 teams took part in this great event and Hollywoodbets supported Jerry all the way!
