Race 1: COSSACK GUARD(1)
Race 2: FASHION QUEST(1)
Race 5: IMPALA LILY(2)
Race 8: SUNDARI(14)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: TERABYTE(11)
Jockey: Sean VEALE - Trainer: Dennis DRIER

TERABYTE made the expected improvement second time out when he went close over seven furlongs on this track. Admittedly, that was in a very ordinary contest but the Jay Peg colt should continue to progress and he is bred to enjoy the mile. The Drier inmate is again drawn well and must rate a serious threat.

Race 2: FASHION QUEST(1)

Jockey: Alec FORBES - Trainer: Mike MILLER

FASHION QUEST relished the step-up in distance when she was perhaps a little unlucky not to claim victory over this c & d, two weeks ago. She was slow into stride and raced green but challenged strongly in the closing stages before going down a neck at the line. The Kahal filly should continue to progress with experience and she holds strong claims despite taking on slightly stronger today.

FASHION QUEST(1)

Race 3: DISTANT PLACE(7)

Jockey: Sean VEALE - Trainer: Dennis DRIER

DISTANT PLACE makes his polytrack debut after catching the eye on his grass debut, three weeks ago. He drifted alarmingly in the betting market that day but tired late into a fair 3rd after racing prominently over this trip in yielding conditions at Scottsville. His yard's horses usually make smart improvement with experience and the Tiger Ridge gelding should have lots more to offer.

TOP BET
Race 5: DAWN CALLING(9)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: Duncan HOWELLS

Some classy fillies go to post for this exciting graduation contest and all eyes will be on the three- year olds DAWN CALLING and A WOMEN'S WAY from the Duncan Howells camp. The former is well treated at the weights and she showed her class with two excellent feature performances in July. The daughter of Trippi is versatile and she should continue to improve as a three-year-old. It is worth noting that Marcus retains the ride despite this being a prep run.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:

Race 4: GO WITH FLO(11)

Jockey: Clavin HABIB - Trainer: Micahel ROBERTS

There are mostly moderate maidens in this ordinary contest and caution is advised. GO WITH FLO has definite scope though after the daughter of King's Chapel produced a fair debut on the grass at Scottsville, three weeks ago. She weakened late after racing prominently in that big field and would have come on with that experience. That formline has worked out well and it could pay to follow the progress of Fashion Quest (runs in race 2) as that rival finished ahead of the top selection. This bay filly is drawn best of all on her polytrack debut and her yard has turned the corner.
